This makes me wonder if money should be a trade able resource...
Could I but a letter for $500 that is a threat on a house? Then if they pay 1/4th of their current value their house becomes purple to me for a week?
That would take away one of the larger benefits of having alts.
Another item that could be bought would be a 'Whistleblower phone' for something like $10000 that would let you shorten the time someone has to rob a house from the 20 minutes to 5 minutes.
On the other side of things if I form a 'guild' I can see us intentionally letting our guildies rob us when they die to get them started back on their feet without being limited to 2k.
I did that before but doesn't change anything.
So this time i left all the secret (except the client shared) to their default value.
What are you getting in your log pages in the backends?
If you send me a temporary backend password I can take a look for you.

I have a similar issue with setting up my server. After few tests, i decided to go with minimum changes.
Now, my ticketServer is OK, the server looks OK and the reflector is set.
But, when I try to connect, i get a "Login Failed" error.I double checked the sharedClientSecret is OK. (So i should't have to rebuild the game, right ?)
After the login fail, i can see that the house has been created though... (on the server admin page)
Any idea?

What I did to get mine working is to set all of the fields similar to 'sharedClientSecret' to the same value. That includes passwordHashingPepper and Ticketsgenerationsecret.
After I did that I stopped getting the hmac check failed message in my log file on gameserver.
Pro Tip; You actually need to go top.
What was your solution? I am having the same issue.
I just tried to set it up, but for some reason I got a wall of error messages when I tried to sign into the game server. The ticket server is working fine. However when I try to log into the game server I get a bunch of 'fatel errors' and 'Doesn't exist' errors.
I commented out 'ts_setupDatabase();' and relogged into the game server and it was able to set up the server correctly. I do not know if anyone else is having problems like that nowadays.
