#1 Re: Main Forum » Call for Alpha Testers for Terminal Heist » 2016-03-03 07:47:08

Hi, I seem to be a bit late for the party hmm. I tried registering in the forum but it wouldn't let me due to an error while sending the email. Is there anything I can do to get into the testing of this game?

#2 Re: Main Forum » This is where we celebrate a selftest » 2014-04-23 11:11:56

Yeah, I'm not mad about losing the house, and I already knew somebody was 2k scouting me. I intentionally didn't change the magic dance, so robbers could get in and check the rest of the house! I wanted my house solved, but I wanted to see the process, that's what makes me mad, the dc scouting. In my tapes nobody was able to pass the magic dance since the upgrade (just a couple of tries that ended in death in the last part, that I assume it was your brother)
For now my house is still there, broken, until I summon some time to dump into the game again.

This was just a build run. I always die before somebody makes a real attempt at my house, so I tried to rob the least possible and just build and wait for the house to be beaten, it was actually very easy to solve, I just wanted to see the process sad

Well it's a nice system to get rid of your wife fast, so that you can build all to defend the vault, while keeping a first line of defense for careless robbers

Oh, so it was you who solved my entire house tool-less some days ago, you might not be that bad at robbing then. At least you are good at dc scouting with alt accounts (which made the game very boring for me actually, as I couldn't see the tries, the most fun part of the game sad)

You can even club her if you step on the gun.

Actually yeah! Didn't think of that. What a waste of money then

You can step in, wife won't move until your second step, she behaves differently than pets for some reason.

Well, at least I got the good one! hahaha

Are there 2 copies of Sky by Jason? I bought it, but then there was another one I could buy in the auction list.

Also, wow, there's almost no paintings left!

#9 Re: Main Forum » Dual Accounts AND The Forum » 2014-04-07 07:41:40

@AMWhy they are just pathetically trying to ridiculize your statements to defend their position, they are just taking parts of your posts out of context and using some parts where you have not literally reiterated your position but slipped a bit of wrong wording (though it could be taken from the context and from the overall connotation of the thread) to their advantage. They have also spammed the forum with a lot of nonsense and off-topic matters, which also proves they cannot maintain a civilized conversation with another human being about a matter that concerns us all and the game. I think anyone can understand what is cheating and what is not.

@lordofham you can't say you don't break the rules If you use a dual account to scout or to farm money for a main account, as the main rule of the game is that if you die, you lose everything, but with a dual account you can die and not only don't lose anything, but make a profit.

This thread is exactly what I'm talking about.  A new player joins the game and his first post is ridiculed by the usual suspects.  No wonder people are leaving the game in droves.

So they enter with meat and don't insta-drug the dog, probably thinking that you need it to dance right after... They should at least try!

#12 Re: Main Forum » Does anyone have any clue how to beat soriano's house? » 2014-03-28 12:43:41

Cool, next time I die I'll try to scout every single corner if I can hahaha

#13 Re: Main Forum » Does anyone have any clue how to beat soriano's house? » 2014-03-28 04:23:21

I do have a question for both houses (Connel and Soriano), I always get stuck in both of them at a certain point. Are they really doable without tools? I don't seem to be able find the right path hmm.

#14 Re: Main Forum » Stupid self-test fails... » 2014-03-23 14:21:53

Every single time I've died in a self-test, apart from the 2k runs. Last time I was in a bit of a rush to improve my house (had to leave home, but couldn't let those 15K there, easily bruteforcebale with a bit more than 2k tools) aaaand forgot to put a power source on my commit trap -.-'

#15 Re: Main Forum » People who keep their values intentionally low » 2014-03-22 14:35:59

I'm going to leave this article here. There is also an entire book if anyone else is interested.

The thing is that what is being discussed here has always happened, specially in competitive gaming, obviously, but as this game is so liberal in the ways it can be played, and so punishing when you mess things up, I think all this should be taken as part of the game. Having dual accounts just to farm money looks a bit opur of the boundaries of the game in my opinion though, but it is Jason who has the right and the power to determine if it really should be taken out from the game. I don't like it and I won't do it, but the advantage he is getting isn't thaaaat big anyway, as the houses have a pretty strict space limit, and can be broken with sufficient attempts.

By the way, I think this whole thread is really giving what the game needs, some face to face action between people that try to rob and destroy each other ^^

#16 Re: Main Forum » Meta-Game and Common Trap Mechanics » 2014-03-22 13:00:16

Hello, I don't usually post much, but I always read everything tongue.

I've been following this discussion and I see one problem with that trap, wouldn't the dog get stuck in the breaker circuit while trying to chase you? you can step out without even seeing the dog! Maybe I'm wrong and I fail to understand pet mechanics hmm

Edit: spelling
