The only thing stopping me from revealing my dance is the fact that i literally use this dance every time i need to use a dance.

Yes if turned on there is (almost) no way to turn it off. This prevents breaking a small portion then learning the solution

I was in once and died on the electric floor, so I knew I would only need 1 wire cutter. When I discovered I had too few waters, my only chance was to surpass your traps and the wood above the dog gave me a hint.

Thanks for the info. The whole dance was built to be 2K proof but not impossible to guess.

Also i highly enjoyed watching you play with the mechanics. that was definitely the best part of the video

On this note you all have 18 hours to take a swing before i remodel...

Epffel i take it you have little to no interest in the vault and figure if you do there isnt anything I could do to stop you so nothing on the interior of the house will change...

Felt like a duty to rob it, because of a massive combo lock in the end. Hate it. Took me three runs.

Used the money parked in limbo. Was surprised to get to the vault. Interesting concept though.

Glad you liked it eppfel. TBH i forgot about the single weakness in the doors you found, (all other paths take multiple) Also when did you ever discover my combo? no one has ever actually dug into that part to my knowledge. How long had you cased that place? I thought you would have figured out the dance pretty easy...

Wow looks amazing i will definitly let some friends know

#31 Re: Main Forum » To the sole heister to reach the end of Mr. Hunnicutt's dance » 2015-03-05 10:49:22

Well I just built and posted a 2k house that is just barely 2k proof featuring that dance it currently has $6 and no attempts so go ahead and practice there if you want.

Well surely you've heard the sirens (one minute before the deadline). It's been a while since I have (not an active player), so can't actually remember.

Actually i havent which is the sad part. most of my robberies have been poorly executed dash in and figure it out.

#33 Re: Main Forum » To the sole heister to reach the end of Mr. Hunnicutt's dance » 2015-03-04 14:26:46

guys is the dance that hard? i was almost certain it was the easiest part of the house... Stop over thinking it, note what can be observed and what you have observed while attempting the dance. Unlike others this is not a magic dance with gimmicks.

Based on my observations a $1000 combo lock (6000 with some nice walls) can hold $40,000 + paintings.

Heck i could build that dance on a 2K budget (not 2K proof)

That post is out of date with regard to the chill time. Also, isn't the max robbery time 10 min? But the bounty stuff is correct.
Also, it's possible for people to have weird bounty amounts on their heads if they haven't died since the bounty server settings were last changed.

Yeah i had noticed some of th info was out of date but figured most of it was good. Pretty sure max robbery is 20 min but don't quote me on that since iv'e never actually had to test it...

Ambrose has been removed...

Dang that was a decent design much better than my one time rob. since i left the place relatively intact i suppose you can fix it if you want. sorry about the wife though that extra 8K was a nice bonus...

Yes, it's broken.

I think I'll stop playing for another couple months again.

Sorry to hear that, but dont despair with designs like yours you can be back on top in a day or two...

also if your looking for funds my house isn't terribly hard. I'm starting to get bored with the lack of attempts...

What's up with that Ambrose house? It's broken, is it not? Cat missing at entrance? Or do I just don't get it?

im fairly certain it's broken but can't say for sure...

If its not updated soon i may take a closer look into it

Quillen here! (so that's my name...)

So far you're the second person to get past my initial trap. I guess I should build the rest of my house now. I wasn't expecting that many crowbars. wink

i wouldn't say i got past it more like smashed through it, i didn't and still don't know too much about it.

1 more person got past the dance... its not that hard and if you pass it you can even leave. to be honest the whole house is real small its just that little dance thats messing with people.

Congratulations, that wasn't supposed to be a major obstacle however with the 35 attempts you are the only one. So good job I guess.

To those of you trying to force your way past the dance, with 2K you cant force through...

And to those trying to solve the dance and consistently trying to use the dog to flip some nonexistent switch at top, stop there is no switch you can see the wall. Yes that is a wall. There is no possible place for there to be a button up there.

Good Luck!

Also to Mr. Quillen,
Nice house design I like it. I probably won't poke it again for some time.

so i was curious how do bounties work again?

i knew everything was tallied up starting at 100 and added for murders and vault breakings but how so?

#41 Re: Main Forum » What are TCD Dollars worth? 4852.575 TCDD = 1 USD » 2015-02-14 22:48:34

So cullman any ideas for when you are going to put the heck house into use?

#42 Re: Main Forum » Hightower mansion » 2015-02-14 22:23:12

Slightly disappointed in Mclain... decided he wanted to rob me so he used 3500 (half price) to entirely wreck the place and rob my 3300

Proper repairs will cost right around 1100 so i would be grateful for any homeless santas...

#43 Re: Main Forum » Hightower mansion » 2015-02-14 12:41:40

Hmm just had a nice big oll look around for paintings seeing as most are 1-25$ and it would appear that my sarsaparillas are missing, anyone have info?

#44 Re: Main Forum » Hightower mansion » 2015-02-14 12:07:14

woot woot have the first of 4 sections up feel free to poke around in it currently at 2100$ (This version of the section is 100% 2K proof while i gather funds for the other sections). A rather simple dance i built this first to hopefully earn enough to build the other sections before finalizing the place! Also, I do feel bad about asking this but would someone take care of the kids begging at my doorstep for money? they are becoming worrisome.

If you want to take a look without entirely risking it all, you can blast the concrete wall open to enter without having the trap door open, i left that in as a cheaper way to scout while letting 2K's only make 2 runs (2nd traps them)

#45 Re: Main Forum » Hightower mansion » 2015-02-12 18:02:43

Wow thanks for those descriptions, very helpful. guess im gonna spend the rest of my night trying to make those as compact as physicly possible because i never really plan these things out properly...

#46 Re: Main Forum » Hmm any way i could get some help with a commit gate i need? » 2015-02-12 14:17:22

Ohhh these are nice i kept stumping myself with a 2 plate design but i guess thats not necessary is it, Thanks a lot guys

my last hope was building a one of the dog commits but since the house was trying to keep general freedom in mind i had to lock the dogs up in a rather large corridor where the player could release them one by one taking up valuable space.

So i'm drafting up a new plan and need a commit gate similar to this one that we all know and love http://castledraft.com/editor/Zkn5j2
the only problem is i need it to fit upside down in almost those same exact dimensions... Curse you non rotatable voltage switches!

considering we have people who are considerable better at this stuff than me here i thought id throw this out there for you all to pick apart and eventually tell me it was quite easy or physically impossible.

#48 Re: Main Forum » Hightower mansion » 2015-02-11 20:47:16

and i died in a self test derping around with that thing...

i hadn't armed it but another part of my house and forgot to just leave it be. oh well....

The ordered concept is very cool though and i feel like i should start implementing that system in my modular designs giving the illusion of freedom while instead forcing the user to progress in a very strange pattern. A combo lock hidden within a more diabolical design... now if i can just reduce the size of everything by 3X

#49 Re: Main Forum » Hightower mansion » 2015-02-11 18:48:37

so im still looking oveer the davison house not understanding, what was all that wiring? definitly not the standard combo lock im used to, is that one of those memory type things that has to be turned on in a certain order? and if so wold someone care to explain it in a bit more detail?

#50 Re: Main Forum » Hightower mansion » 2015-02-11 18:14:10

Yeah had someone bust through and take a look but after gathering a few tools i upgraded and changed the code, lol some of that wiring is so sloppy and confusing though i don't think they took it in all the way, now sitting at 1K with hopes of keeping it over the night.
