Ouch. Haven't had that kind of loss... yet. It'll probably happen though. In the mean time, back to waiting for people to die in my house... Right now there's only one pitbull to worry about, the rest are chihuahua-fied until more funds come in...

So, how many times have people somehow screwed themselves while upgrading their house? Well, in my recent case, I was adding in a new commit gate... had swapped every lethal/blocking component... Except for the new powered doors. Forced myself to complete the route, thus locking in the changes (and loss of about $2100) into effect. Dammit. Now I'm sitting at 138. Grrr.

So, after finding out that new houses don't show up immediately after testing (5 minute wait, I think?), I tried to take advantage of that... After several mostly stupid deaths, I wound up hitting a house for around 4k from the vault. Only wound up spending 200 out of the starting money, so... Yay! Megavault stage 1 complete. Whoever it was (I didn't even really catch the owners name, wasn't paying that much attention), I'll give you this: I got lucky after that misstep. Why they were sitting with over 4k (including tools from the safe) and a simple/cheap setup is beyond me... Then again, maybe they player hadn't checked on their house for a while, and lots of other less-clever-than-me (I'm sorry if you're in that group, really, I am) players fell prey to the decoy doors...

I find that I'm a bit too move-twitchy most of the time, and safe-move annoys me too much most of the time... so I'll overshoot a door or the way out. Some guy who I robbed earlier (I forget the name) got to watch me run in circles 3 or 4 times being chased by a pitbull, before finally making the correct turn to gtfo. However, I then came back and made it through to his vault. I mainly try to stick to bait-robbing though. Guy's wife was still around when I went through. Once I get enough, eventually I'll build up some sort of huge bit-lock... behind a seemingly simple/easy to crack facade... *evil cackle*

Well for the most part I've given up the robbing game. At least for now. House is currently sitting at $57. But it's been a slow start this life. I'm hoping more people get ballsy enough to brave more than a few steps...

edit: no sooner than I post this, do I wind up taking one step too many in someone else's house... doh.

Still kind of new, so figuring out which I like more. But I have to say, the wife(and kids) do make for cheap trap-control labor... (pressure pads+pet vs panic button). And when you're working from a fresh start, that can mean that much more $ left over for more potential deathmaking.

Ahhh. So, chills only hit applicable houses once you die. Good to know for future robbing attempts. In the meantime... vault v2 is in place this life. First guy into my current house clubbed the entire family. Kind of a waste for whatever split of $10 the wife had. A few robbers later, someone guessed the combo, but wound up dead anyway since the panic button had been on from the earlier invasion, perma-locking vault's inner hall. Love those commit gates...

Okay, so kinda new to the game, and had the following happen: some guy cased my house once without tools. Then came back with tools, shorted out some electric flooring to get out, then came back again with more water and got through to the vault. I thought you could not re-enter a house you'd used tools in?
