Yea I had a few tries of Mickens. Seem like a maze but you never get to make a singl wrong move or use a tool.

I wont be a target for a while, trying to think of a "clever" house but no luck yet. Slightly losing interest as I had a "house" up and it wasnt visited once in 13 hours. Seems to be more houses on the list but less robbers.

agreed i was visited last night 3-4 times and then got robbed right after since by the time i had the money to fix up the house into a reasonable state i had left for the night.

yeah i cant even tell whos that is id need a description ive been spamming so many houses looking for weak points without committing and there isnt enough info for me to make a decision.

I bet your that house with dogs behind a door and a safe visible from the doormat just had a near death experience in there.

see passive it's not polite to wreck people relatively decent puzzles. besides the trick to my house is just knowing the magic dance after that you can break the place on a 2k budget. (not anymore tho) and someone was nice enough to leave 1100 in tools with a 800 bounty so far my second largest haul from a single robber (i think the first was you with a 2100 bounty)

Someone did just manage to do it tooless so i guess im back to square 1, could use some santas right now so i can switch it up a bit. Congrats on the great scouting and i hope you put my 3000 to good use.

if i get 5000-10000 i may completely remake the house and i'm contemplating a quick suicide restart but alas i want my revenge this life and not the next.

#204 Re: Main Forum » Timers » 2014-12-01 15:36:12

when i made that house there was a failsafe preventing people from passing by using cutters and saws but i don't believe you even knew you had bypassed it. i made it a bit more prominent in the design now.

I do believe this house is the most focused on absolutely correct timing.

With my new addition i believe my videos will be 5x funnier as people desperately search for a way out of their situation.

BTW what is my name?

So it's a house guarding no cash not deadly enough to make cash and not working in general BRILLIANT!
I'll pay it a visit later when I get a chance.

When you saw three walls it costs 1200(600 whatever) when you shoot a dog it's still 1200/600 the only difference is the cost to the owner and I want my run to be an expensive one (revenge blah blah blah)  I did find an 8bit clock that is nice and small even transcribed it to castle draft but don't know enough about its input and output to hook up a few more counters or if it even works... I'm pretty sure I could make a 13-14counter clock under half the house if I could just figure out all this nonsense btw I know this is completely impractical but I'm pretty sure I could use it to take down those auto find vault accounts that spam back and forth at the speed of light. Also I want to see if I can do it in the first place I do enjoy challenging these systems.

#209 Re: Main Forum » Timers » 2014-12-01 06:45:32

As far as clocks go isnt it 2^n-1 with n being the number of units you add?

#210 Re: Main Forum » Timers » 2014-12-01 06:34:28

aww was that you i guess it was a pretty hefty sum Matthew Herbert Buckler. well i got most of it operational again, after robbing a santa's gift to a doorstep vault, feel free to have a crack at it without tools big_smile

i was experimenting with some strait shot designs it isn't even that hard of a puzzle as most people are capable of figuring out the dance, but most just commit suicide when the leap of faith's floor doesn't power off.

I had even been saving up to go kill Micken's wife (revenge story blah blah blah).

So i'm a bit naive on some of the more advanced wiring but digging through some old posts it sounds like it's possible to make some very large timers.
Now i'm curious what is the max number of steps a timer can have? (if there is one)
how is it designed and how does it work?

i have an interesting idea for a house that i think would stump some people but it needs an overly obnoxiously long timer 10,000+ steps.

I plan to make everyone speed run my house...

Ok guys why haven't we been taking a look around the new houses I mean i'm chilled out of em but almost no one has visited mine (the only 1 to do so died) but many of yo are active and just not visiting the new houses cmon at least look through the front door.

I feel like there may be a triple account user here someone came in and using the knowledge that would have been obtained of the run right before it he nearly got to the safe before failing terribly.

I guess the actions could have been lucky but it with the timing (all three in a rather short 15min span right after one another) and using the same tactics the 2nd and third time (they just ran for it the first) i assume someone may be using the accounts in a rather cheaty fashion

Oh, so Passive is Walker. I liked your house. Seems really insecure, though it did trick me once. Did you purposefully not use sticky switches everywhere so that people wouldn't destroy all the power supplies?

A fun house doesn't necessarily have to be easy to solve. I like seeing novel traps which can actually be solved without brute forcing but with a lot of reasoning (sadly my current house certainly does not fall in this category).

It is a friendly house if you do it right smile Pretty much just a straight forward maze Eppfel did it first time :S

it is friendly and i hate it because i am so suspicious of it's friendliness that i wont go in without 15 water and 5 meat and even then i know that i have to go across one of the leaps of faith and i swear to god that house just cranks up my paranoia.

ahh yes Mathew Ralph Albrecht such cunning traps i hope you enjoyed one of my larger bounties from a life long ago.

now i've been reduced from a spot third or forth on that list to $314 and my own grumpy dogs.

and does anyone know what happened to michael james Shepard he robbed me for about 4500 then disappeared. he get taken out in someone els's house or a self test?

P.S. i will come back to kill all of those dogs some day.

Welp died in a self test so i'm back to some scouting i guess.

picked up a fresh 2k house so i'm back in the building business. Got a neat starter up that will likely scare people away more than kill

up to 3600 and 2 kills come pay me a visit!

But having the vault in such an obvious place makes it very easy to brute force. Each time i have easily doubled my money.

good to know i'm in the clear for a while my plan is to change it up soon but by the time the next thought struck me you already tore it down.
i would prefer you actually attempt my little fun dance (no commit promise) but just breaking through my doors is no fun...
total cost of my add on will be some 5-6000 so i may need a while before i can get more up.

Wouldn't risk a dog dance when whilst i have a house (currently the house is worth about $60k big_smile), when i die i'll give it a try without tools. But currently am enjoying my house big_smile Voxel complained that my combo lock design wasn't fun, so i have a whole new design with no combo locks. So far the videos have been pretty interesting to watch, however people are a lot more scared of the entrance then i thought they would be.

it does look like a bunch of water will take me strait through but with a nice solid house (prob only 10-15K) i think id rather not play around with those doors.

and if you get to the end my ending will be loads of fun (assuming you don't smash it to bits)

huh someone just came in but they didn't leave a tape. what gives.

ive been tempted to just take a bunch of water to your house but i figure you have more hidden traps in there.

#222 Re: Main Forum » Robert Corey Keenan » 2014-11-28 07:48:37

good to meet you good sir and i can not wait to see your house come to it's potential.

well troy walker has robbed me again i guess fooling around with designs that leave the vault locked away but not dangerous aren't as useful if people have enough money to buy 3 crowbars. if i knew the guy would leave me alone i might keep it up and see if anyone can do a zero tool run now all my doors are broke tho leaving perhaps some interesting design choices in the future. i guess i may never get to add my new fun add on.

Castle editor to plan your house.
http://castledraft.com/editor/

Simulator so you can test it. The last digits "pq6u70" are the digits you get when you share the design on castledraft.
http://ec2-54-197-125-240.compute-1.ama … mid=pq6U7O

hmmm i cant get the sim to work it just shows me a castledraft sheet.

any help?

Wow iv'e found that i (whatever my name is) don't really die. my wealth skyrockets then someone (typically Troy Phillip Walker who likes to tunnel through walls) will take it all from me and thus i go out look at the houses iv'e solved and see they now have 1000+ sitting in them from random santas that reappeared recently. i swoop in intercept the cash then fix my place allowing it to make small quantities while i'm away. I guess it's just a nice persistent house.

Id love to use the sim to test one add on to my house that's more of a fun little thing than an devilish trap as long as no one breaks through my walls again ill be fine.

You using the same design as before? You sorted it out so if you use the wrong pressure switch you can't ever get it to work right?

Example:

If you don't get the code right first time you aren't ever getting through without force big_smile (obviously it would be a lot more reinforced big_smile)

yes if you hit the wrong one everything breaks but this guy's scouting must have payed off (or he got quite lucky) either way with only 3 pressure pads in there its a bit fun to watch peoples reaction.

I guess my biggest concern is that even though i have a magic dance now i know that it's only half as defensive as it should have been.

However this place does have plenty of defense against brute force because i got tired of watching people saw into my rooms and shoot all of my dogs over and over again.

One guy did have a blast when it was broken he went to saw some walls trying to discover the combos and found a dog ran back (leaving the dog near a pit blocking the exit) and found a broken dog sawed into another room and found a third dog where the remaining 2 chased him into a pit

Moral of the story leave my ******* walls alone.

AHHAHH figured out a way to stump the pattern he did you now do it my way or not at all. It instantly claimed a 2k scout carrying all the wrong tools to try to break the place. (nvm the scout was a santa that has been carrying a very strange set of tools to a lot of houses)

suddenly worth 5700 Which should draw in a few bounties

NVM someone brute forced the house again litteraly within minutes. Guess i forgot to connect a wire somewhere....

found the problem total cost of the fix (Brute forcing + wiring error) $226 FML

and now i've fixed it. thanks santas that leave things in solved houses!

#225 Re: Main Forum » Robert Corey Keenan » 2014-11-27 14:26:41

$3216 and it wasn't even a brute force attack the guy did use $2000 in tools but wasted them all trying to bypass a door that i made 2k invulnerable. im still trying to think of a work around for his work around. This guy has me stumped.

Got the money for basic repairs and perhaps a slight twist on my design that with his work around he could figure out it's not much and a simple fluke could disarm it.

I currently have $650 so all you people out there that are up for a interesting challenge come pay me a visit
