Loved the intensity this game created, and was even a great learning experience having to rewrite my house every time I did die and got robbed. Someone *cough* should make a highlight reel of the best robberies or traps people had, would love to see that.
I think a starter house robbed haln for 130k, so I got in with an amazing stroke of luck. He suicided in my house for $700 a minute later.
Edit: Aaaaaaand I now have my favorite painting
EDIT: Congrats on the big robbery and dog club, Thompson.... I'm really surprised no-one's killed your wife yet, but she's safe because of the police timer now!
Would that be the Hokusai?
aaand SERVER DOWNN
So... I don't know if this a ramp up of activity in the last hour....... but I can't seem to get back into my house. It's ALWAYS being robbed. I check the tapes, click return as soon as a new one pops up. Still being robbed. This is very odd.
I wonder if this is intentional?
Jere, Jason just changed the rules so you have to wait 5 min before going back into your own house, that message is even if no one is in your house
Q. What's that symbol in my tapes list?
A. The Japanese symbol for death. A tape marked with this symbol is one in which the robber dies at the end, the dollar value shown indicating the bounty you claimed. For any tape without this symbol, a dollar value indicates the amount of money that was stolen from you.
Also, I lied, it's just a skull. The kanji isn't real either, I made it because that's what I saw at first. The closest I found was 舌, which means tongue.

oh cool, thought it was a simple 8-bit skull
Q: The white number is how many steps, so what does the red number next to peoples name who have been in my house mean?
A: The kill score of your current house design
Killed myself on a self test with that one
Edit: was before I knew powered floors weren't conductive
Yeah, I've done that a few times to attract more people and erase scary-looking death ratios.
I am reminded of american horror stories murder house Realtor
jere wrote:Yea I found a $5k one today too..... I have no idea how that happens.
I just saw a guy with about $9k, 0, 0 in the list but didn't make it inside quick enough. The name was something like Richard Rodney Thomas. I hope it's not some kind of exploit.
The number of visits and deaths in a house resets when the owner changes the layout. Noticed someone I already tried to rob with $20k with 0,0 a little after he upped his defenses yesterday.
Guess it makes no difference then as my wife was shot a few minutes ago
Whats the value of items in the vault? Is it the same as their sell value or greater if left in the vault?
Nice, wish I asked that question before I placed three in a row
Jason: Turned out to be that I had changed a passage so that a pet near the start of my maze had seen me, where it should not have. There was a power switch that this pet could activate if the player moved passed a certain longitude after it was seen. So when I was just getting to my safe around the corner the electric floors went on. It was rather unexpected.
Another question, are powered pitfalls conductive? Say one powered pitfall has power flowing to it, and there's another next to it, will both powered pitfalls be activated (and act as normal floors) or just the one?
Just put a window in front of the pit. The dog will see through the window, but not try to enter the pit
Never mind, found out the issue was something else.
I just killed myself in a self test and was wondering if there is some kind of delay built into a specific tile or wire type? Seems that I must have changed the wiring around so that power looped back around to activate four steps later than I expected. Didn't use any of the voltage activated or deactivated toggles. Had the picture of a tree in a desert if anyone saw the house.
Interesting...
Thanks Sconna
So there is a house that my character "cannot bear to enter". anyone know what this is?
