I'd absolutely love to join this.

Suggestion: Make it so that you can't bring tools of a value greater than value of all the materials used in the construction of the house. This keeps starting players safe from 2k brute forcers while ensuring that experienced players can't hide by keeping their value low.

Really, I do. My house was smashed, I had no money to repair it, so I did one last attempt to rob someone without tools... and made off with $600. Not much, but enough to fix my house and get me back in the game. Honestly, that was the most intense robbery I've ever done, and the most satisfying when it came off. Made all the time I've spent worthwhile.

First visitor in my new 2k house with only 238 left over to lure people in, as to not bring too much attention, is some jerk with 2k in tools. This is getting too much, I can't seem to get over the starting hump and 75% of the time it's someone with more tools than my house is worth coming in to wreck it. *deep sad sigh*

I'm having exactly the same problem. I can't get anywhere, because my house keeps getting wrecked by people with tools worth 4 times what they stand to gain from my house. Although, having said that, my house isn't anywhere near as nice as yours.

So you're the guy who's wife I killed earlier.

What mystifies me is when folks (and this is several) have the exit in sight and yet choose to detour into a pit bull they've drugged.

I've done this, and it's because I forget that drugged pitbulls aren't dead with incredible regularity.

Were you the one who made a maze style house with a shotgun wife and not all that many traps in it, and a commit gate followed by all dead ends?

That sounds a pretty like my house, though mine doesn't have all dead ends, just most of them. wink

One I discovered on my first house design: if you're making commit gates, use STICKY pressure pads.

Speaking as a new player, the most helpful thing for me would probably be a guide on how to rob successfully. I can build an okay house, but I keep coming unstuck on other people's, especially since I have practically no cash for tools. A guide on robbing, especially in the early stages of the game, would help me immensely.

P.S. Loving the game.
