Seriously, this game has been completely ruined by the people who play it...  Thank you people who abuse the system for making me never want to play it again which takes AWAY from the developer...   if you want good experiences in the future, please quit being complete dick heads...

Dear Mr. 'sucks at life',

I don't know exactly what prompted you to buy $2000 worth of tools and enter a house worth a little over $1400.  Honestly my 6 year old son knows math better than you.  But alas, enter my home you did.  You ignored the 5 pit bulls behind the windows with power doors obviously linked to the panic button in plain view.  You even ignored the warring shotgun just behind that.  You persisted forward, alarming my wife and children, but that wasn't a big deal for you because you had a pistol, a couple clubs, and even some drugged meat.  You shot my wife, clubbed my daughter and one of my dogs.  Drugged another dog to be able to escape my home with your life.  I only have one question for you; if you went through all that trouble to enter my home with the sole intention of killing my wife, why didn't you at least pick up the money off her corpse?  I mean honestly it's bad enough that you shot her with a $1200 pistol when she was carrying little over $700, but to not even bother with the money?  Let alone clubbing my daughter to death for no reason whatsoever!  So I would like to know, please, please, please let me know, are you that big of an idiot, or that big of a jackass?

Sincerely,
One pissed off asshole

Wow,  a lot of swearwords in this one! Don't let your 6 year old read this ;-)

I think that could have been someone with a second account. He might tries to kill as much family members as possible to increase his bounty and then suicide in the other accounts house. Therefore he doesn't need the money.

Yeah, I was a bit upset, sorry about that.  I did edit out the signature one, but I still think the "jackass" is necessary...

As a basic check you should make sure your house can withstand at least $2000 worth of tools. If your wife can be killed with a meat and a club, and you don't want her to die, then you should improve her security.

The problem with this is that a bit bull costs $320 whereas a club to kill it costs $200.  It's not possible to use $2000 to make it cost more than that to get to your wife, let alone your safe.  You can be crafty and make it as hard as possible, but when the tools are cheaper than the defenses they can tear down, it's not plausible.

Sooooooo how about we all just ignore this thread...  I just found the recorded session (thanks Jason!) and realized I'm an idiot... I had robbed several houses and clubbed 2 other wives (both times stepping over their bodies), but for some reason on this one I didn't collect the money.  Yep, I'm the idiot this time... My bad.  On the up side, it's really cool that you can watch the playback of your sessions!  I'm gonna go have some fun watching how my houses have evolved.  Again, thanks Jason for the info on playback!

Hey Jason,
I just read your post today, sorry it took so long.  I just checked my recordedgame folder (didnt know that was there, neat feature!) and there's about 80 to go through, but I'll start searching and let you know. Thanks!!

Ok, so full story from when I logged on until now... I had a little over $600.  I found a house from someone who didn't buy anything and robbed it (killing the wife in the process. Yes, I'm that guy and no I'm not proud of it...).  This gave me a little over $2400 (600-200 for club + 2000).  I changed some things which cost me about $1300 ish.  Leaving me with just over $1100, I found a house that was broken into already, wife accessible, valued at $925.  I hurried and bought one club, leaving about $900 ish in my house, and then went and killed the wife for the $925.  That's when I noticed that the $900 ish that WAS in my house was now only the $925 that I had robbed.

I'm sure.  I did step on the wife, and it did say I had successfully robbed the house for $925.  I'm positive that I robbed the house and collected the money.  The weird thing is that when I returned to my house, the money I had at my house was gone and all I had was the $925 that I robbed of the corpse.  Theres no tape, my wife is still alive, and my safe has not been broken into yet.  It's like it replaced the money I had with what I had stolen instead of adding to it.

Things like this have happened to me a few times.  There are people who will repeatedly spend the $2000 starting cash on all tools and just go around robbing people and killing their families.  I'd be willing to bet it's mostly new people who don't know better, but some may just be jerks.  It sucks cause now you need to start over, but thats just how some people play...

I don't know for sure if this is a bug, and I can't find anything about it in the forums, but after making some changes to my house I had a little over $1100.  I purchased 1 club and went into a house, murdered the wife, and received $925.  When I returned to my house, all I had was the $925, the rest of my money was missing.  My wife is still alive and there's no new security tape.  Is this a bug?  Thanks!
