Lost money after successful robbery

I don't know for sure if this is a bug, and I can't find anything about it in the forums, but after making some changes to my house I had a little over $1100.  I purchased 1 club and went into a house, murdered the wife, and received $925.  When I returned to my house, all I had was the $925, the rest of my money was missing.  My wife is still alive and there's no new security tape.  Is this a bug?  Thanks!

Re: Lost money after successful robbery

I'm wondering if that's actually how much money you had after buying the club.  Did you walk on the body after you killed the wife?  That's the only way you'll pick up the money from her

Re: Lost money after successful robbery

I'm sure.  I did step on the wife, and it did say I had successfully robbed the house for $925.  I'm positive that I robbed the house and collected the money.  The weird thing is that when I returned to my house, the money I had at my house was gone and all I had was the $925 that I robbed of the corpse.  Theres no tape, my wife is still alive, and my safe has not been broken into yet.  It's like it replaced the money I had with what I had stolen instead of adding to it.

Re: Lost money after successful robbery

Ok, so full story from when I logged on until now... I had a little over $600.  I found a house from someone who didn't buy anything and robbed it (killing the wife in the process. Yes, I'm that guy and no I'm not proud of it...).  This gave me a little over $2400 (600-200 for club + 2000).  I changed some things which cost me about $1300 ish.  Leaving me with just over $1100, I found a house that was broken into already, wife accessible, valued at $925.  I hurried and bought one club, leaving about $900 ish in my house, and then went and killed the wife for the $925.  That's when I noticed that the $900 ish that WAS in my house was now only the $925 that I had robbed.

Strange. Maybe you could replay that play session to see if there had been anything you missed, and if not, report it!

Yes, please send me the recordedGame file that shows this.

jasonrohrer@fastmail.fm

You can watch it yourself (to check) by copying it into playbackGame and running the game.

Hey Jason,
I just read your post today, sorry it took so long.  I just checked my recordedgame folder (didnt know that was there, neat feature!) and there's about 80 to go through, but I'll start searching and let you know. Thanks!!

Re: Lost money after successful robbery

Sooooooo how about we all just ignore this thread...  I just found the recorded session (thanks Jason!) and realized I'm an idiot... I had robbed several houses and clubbed 2 other wives (both times stepping over their bodies), but for some reason on this one I didn't collect the money.  Yep, I'm the idiot this time... My bad.  On the up side, it's really cool that you can watch the playback of your sessions!  I'm gonna go have some fun watching how my houses have evolved.  Again, thanks Jason for the info on playback!

Can you play the recorded games faster? Cause I have many breaktimes.

If you go into your setting folder, look for enableSpeedControlKeys, open it, and change it to 1.

Then, when you're watching a replay, you can user ^ through ) to choose the speed.

Re: Lost money after successful robbery

I find that they play even faster (to skip dead times with speed keys enabled) if you move most of the window off the screen edge (so maybe you can just see the percentage left on the recorded game in the corner).
