I've survived every self-test when I'm suicide robbing! It's boosted my scouting efficiency by 53.63%!!
You have to teach me sometime!
Put Acceptabull on your friendlist, Ham.
I realize that my english is feeble when it comes to musical stuff. By second voice I mean the other voice in the chorus, entering at the second "hide your kids...".
TheRealCheese has to voluteer that link himself. I know he'll read this. ![]()
The video in the original + the text provides me with everything I need. That song is kinda catchy. I'm not used to wording this fast, but I think I'll handle it. If we want to nail this we can have TheRealCheese do the second voice. I know he's good for it. His tuna song is epic.
I have a passable voice, but only shoddy mics. I can give it a go if I get text and melody - if someone can clear up the audio.
It's just a concept build, HardKor. I was toying with art implementation, and got carried away - AND I am a n00b when it comes to paradox circuits - but don't tell anyone. ![]()
Edit: spelling
Make this one too, and take a mapshot: http://castledraft.com/editor/w55gdC
EDIT: I was thinking of building it. But the cost versus security is insane.
You built it in Fortress Theory? You crazy crazy man. ![]()
Here it is:

I love the rotary toggle. It's my favorite object. You've answered your own questions, basically. The smileyface is quite unintentional. ![]()
If memory serves, this house began as a "how deadly can I make a house that fits into the entrance screen"-project. I'll see if I can find that first build in my mapshots folder.
My favorite part of this house is how you have to "hack" the LoF to the right of the smiley. I don't think many would have gotten that one.
*goes off to the map shot room*
EDIT: Didn't get a shot of the first version, but this one comes close. I had expanded up a bit here, though.

Oh! So that 13k bounty was you, HardKor? That came in handy, I tell you. I'll try to keep making traps that look innocent as this one does. Maaaany fell for it, and then it subsided. I guess it got known. ![]()
Hello!
Mr. Lowery just messed up his wiring, frying himself in the proces. A shame, since the house of his dreams was easily within reach. I've stated that I'm a builder before, and as one I always like/want input from the wreckers. I therefore publish my house, forcing myself to come up with somethng fresh the next time. Also, the kill booth at the entrance is my invention. I've seen it replicated, but the original is mine. Quite fond of it, too.
This entrance would have gone on permanent ignore if I were the robber. It has all the elements I hate as a robber.
Here's the last snapshot - a few versions before wires were crossed in a bad way.

EDIT: ...and here's the plan for the finished house - http://castledraft.com/editor/zXJFby

To be honest, this board we be a much better place without you.
Quoted for truth.

Giving new players an in-game advantage for a short period, is exactly the same as having a sale, which Jason is against. Or even giving all players it for a short period. Jason has stated he wants people to buy the game only if they actually want to play the game. Luring people into buying it doesn't really facilitate that. What could be done is more exposure. Advertisement. Word of mouth is good in this internet age and all, but it's just not the same as active advertisement.
Something as simple as targeted Facebook ads could help bring in a steady trickle of fresh meat.
I made my amends. My children were brutally murdered earlier on today luckily they didn't find out about their fathers second job. I was sadly arrested. To my astonishment my wife came through and paid bail, however the person whose home i was robbing found out and now we are in witness protection. We have 2k in our savings, a new house and were given new names also to improve our cover me and the wife decided to adopt 2 children.
Brilliant handling of loss! *applause*
I've debated account abuse and crowd sourcing of maps on this forum. Sift through my posts if you're interested. I'm done debating both.
Regardless of my vehement refusal to accept crowd sourcing of houses, I'm willing to participate (I know - double moral standard) in taking down obvious abusers. Count me in.
Hi! Am I the only one who gets jealous whenever I see a family with uniformly colored hair?
Also, weren't you the guy that made the electric skull house? With like a kitty combo lock or something?
Talking to me or Blip?
I'll tell you what my goal is, or rather what makes The Castle Doctrine fun for me. I'm sure everyone has their own angle on this, so you will find no ultimate goal or endgame that apply for everyone.
To me, constructing a house that repels robbers (both 2K'ers and established houseowners) without putting in a lot of brute force protection is at the core. I enjoy creating traps that isn't common, in order to confuse robbers. I utterly love to see robbers fall for my creations. I'm mostly a builder, but I also enjoy the odd robbery.
I'm not going to debate the dual/multiple account issue. That discussion is done as far as I'm concerned.

Every house will fall. Every house will fall. EVERY HOUSE WILL FALL!!!!
This is exactly right, and exactly what I don't get about certain people who complain about dual account abuse (<- their words, not mine). I mean what exactly is the end-game? You get to the first page? Easy. Get the richest house? Also easy. Build an unbreakable house? Impossible.
In time, ALL HOUSES GET ROBBED. And almost all are highly susceptible to a few 2K tooled suicide runs (with the exception of combo locks, which fall like dominoes after your first score). So what's the point? Are you just going to quit because you can't achieve an irrational goal? Then who's fault is that?
The bounty issue sounds like a legitimate problem (as well as the house lockout, and btw the checkbox is a lovely idea), but the root cause of that is the bounty system being dated and in need of tweaking. All other 'issues' with dual-account users stem from the whining about others spending an extra $16 to get added enjoyment out of the same game. Yeah, shame on them!
This is a strawman argument, FreeLove. I'm avidly against dual and multiple accounts, and I do not expect to make an unbeatable house. When my houses become able to withstand serious beatings I start rooting for the robbers. You are putting words in the mouths of people that are against something you are for, or you are willing to accept. It's a questionable debating technique at best. Also, saying that getting on the first page or on the very top is easy is really arrogant. If it was easy, everyone would be there.
Now I get it! Thanks Frosty!
EDIT: I'm so slow sometimes. It's really weird that I manage to keep a house with this mind.
This thread became a help thread. Let's at least acknowledge the OP. Nice trap.

Jeebz, my mind's a mess today. ![]()
Won't the top left chihuahua step on the sticky? Sometimes I'm really thick. Have me excused. ![]()
