From his posts and conduct so far, それはトラップである comes across as a legitimate single account player.  I'd be surprised if it was him.  Let's keep an eye on Harden.

On a related note, I can't wait for Cullman's reboot. The ability to keep tracks of suspicious players, even if the end users can't see it, will be good.

LordofHam is a confirmed two account user and accidentally admitted that he cheats with two accounts (then denied it straight after).  He quit the game but posted here recently.  It could be him.

Take a look.  Just a few new puzzles to start with before you get to 'The Gate.'

#104 Re: Main Forum » Rodriguez Robbed for $93,000. » 2014-10-11 04:58:57

Thanks for letting me know.  I've just updated the house with the takings so far.  There's an entrance to solve first now.

#106 Re: Main Forum » Clearly its personal » 2014-10-10 16:52:03

So Gregor is/was an opportunist.  But then, in CD, aren't we all?

@Amatiel... I think it was your house... Am I right in thinking that the top-left part of your house is the same as an earlier design?  I ask because I suicide scouted someone a day or two ago, who had a familiar house layout in that area.  If so, it could be that I was the suicide scout you referred to in an earlier post and Gregor could be completely innocent, just lucky with the tools...

#107 Re: Main Forum » Rodriguez Robbed for $93,000. » 2014-10-10 16:44:39

Thanks Eppfel.  That last dog had me completely stumped for a tool-less run.  I figured I could use a cat to help, but when I tested in my house, it didn't work.  It was only on the last run to the vault that I realised my map was wrong - I had the start position for the last dog one space to the right.

If you did recover, I'd promise not to TAKE the vault again (whether I have a house or not).
I might be tempted to FIND the vault, again though!

@Amatiel, I guess someone was in it.  I've been AFK since I finished the house.  It's now ~17k in value.

#108 Re: Main Forum » Rodriguez Robbed for $93,000. » 2014-10-10 10:41:24

Damn, that was a scary self-test.  My new house is live!  It's far from finished, but that will have to wait a while as I don't have time now.

~12k in the bank.

#109 Re: Main Forum » Rodriguez Robbed for $93,000. » 2014-10-10 09:02:07

Not yet.  It will be a while...

#110 Re: Main Forum » Rodriguez Robbed for $93,000. » 2014-10-10 08:42:40

Thanks!

I was planning to take them both together smile

After extensive scouting and visiting all four corners of Rodriguez's map, I finally located the vault.  The prize was reached for the pauperly sum of $1900 worth of tools.  However, I do feel a little disappointed.  I'd have preferred to have robbed the house tool-less.

I shall now use the finance to create my own humble abode.  Please do pay me a visit when construction is complete!

To Eppfel:  Thank you for designing the most intriguing houses in Castle Doctrine!  First Mr Case, and now Rodriguez have both been an absolute pleasure to figure out!

#112 Re: Main Forum » Clearly its personal » 2014-10-10 02:57:32

@Cullman:  An up/down button for robberies is good, but perhaps only on those over a certain number of steps.  Voting on 3 step robberies would be tiresome.  It would also be good to have a display stats button.  For example, success/ failure rate of the robber,  average tool spend per robbery attempt, average steps per robbery, percent of house seen on each visit... Am I asking too much?

@Amatiel: I hope you didn't take out Anderson while dealing with  Gregor.  I've known how to get to Anderson's safe, tool free since yesterday and was biding my time before making a move...

#113 Re: Main Forum » Clearly its personal » 2014-10-09 20:16:49

I was just looking at him suspiciously myself.  Last I looked he was about 30k.  Who did he rob?

#114 Re: Main Forum » Who was George John Rodriguez? » 2014-10-09 05:08:10

Choose the correct door(s) to open from a choice of 4, then choose the correct door(s) to open from a choice of three... sounds like a combination lock to me! tongue

Eppfel, I'm getting closer to another possible vault location!

#115 Re: Main Forum » Who was George John Rodriguez? » 2014-10-08 15:35:33

Congrats on your robbery, Amatiel, but there's nothing wrong with changing your house often.  Unless it's a combo-lock; I hate them!  Which house is yours?  I don't see any new ones of note on the list.  Tell me you didn't die already...

Edit: I think I found you.  There's a new low value house with a lot of pits.  Essentially two combo locks at the start (groan).  Back to Rodriguez again I go!

#116 Re: Main Forum » Who was George John Rodriguez? » 2014-10-07 18:28:57

@Eppfel, I'm back to robbing again.  My new house had too many weaknesses so I've decided to go after a large bounty to finance a full project smile

#118 Re: Main Forum » House just got hacked » 2014-10-06 01:27:34

I just changed it up - good timing, by the sound of it!  It's still a long way from finished, but is starting to take shape.

#119 Re: Main Forum » House just got hacked » 2014-10-06 01:18:16

Ah, that was you!  A temporary vault place while I make repairs, I'm afraid.  Not the final placement.

#120 Re: Main Forum » House just got hacked » 2014-10-05 20:01:37

Allen R Crist just robbed me again.  He doesn't know the solution, but knew the exact tools to bring that the previous failant couldn't (more than 2k worth).  New route, he'd never been in before, but he knew where the safe was and how to get to it.
Once, suspicious.
Twice, a likely cheat.
Three times, confirmed.

#121 Re: Main Forum » House just got hacked » 2014-10-05 17:19:52

Unfortunately your video says private when I click on it.  It seems one of the old dual-account cheaters has returned.  Lord of Ham?

#122 Re: Main Forum » Painting Repository Available » 2014-10-04 20:11:22

What's your name, Thoth? (A question that only makes sense here!). My house has a lot of money in it, but I feel I can do better.  I might return to robbing for a while.

#123 Re: Main Forum » House just got hacked » 2014-10-04 17:45:18

I haven't been in this house, but for me to guess, from the top I'd say the safe path is not the first, or last.  Unlikely to be the 5th or 2nd.  Most likely to be the fourth.  Of course, this all depends on the location of this corridor in your house: if it's in the lower section, door 5 becomes more likely, for example.

Having said all this, it is still a 1 in 6 gamble that I wouldn't risk my house on without tools, unlike Mr Allen R Crist, who waltzed through my house for just 3.5k on his first ever visit straight after another visitor died after spying the safe *cough-two-account-abuser-cough*

#124 Re: Main Forum » Can someone explain this? » 2014-10-04 09:48:26

Thanks for letting me know my name.  I'm not much of a Dukes of Hazzard fan, but I do find it remarkable how often known names come up!  I've seen a few friends listed, as well as a few famous people (none of which I can remember right now).

#125 Re: Main Forum » Dead wives » 2014-10-04 09:45:48

One of my old houses ended up with my wife dead and a pitbull standing on top of her.  I framed them in glass, forever to stay until I self-testing topped myself.
