Rodriguez Robbed for $93,000.

After extensive scouting and visiting all four corners of Rodriguez's map, I finally located the vault.  The prize was reached for the pauperly sum of $1900 worth of tools.  However, I do feel a little disappointed.  I'd have preferred to have robbed the house tool-less.

I shall now use the finance to create my own humble abode.  Please do pay me a visit when construction is complete!

To Eppfel:  Thank you for designing the most intriguing houses in Castle Doctrine!  First Mr Case, and now Rodriguez have both been an absolute pleasure to figure out!

Damn, that was a scary self-test.  My new house is live!  It's far from finished, but that will have to wait a while as I don't have time now.

~12k in the bank.

Re: Rodriguez Robbed for $93,000.

Congrats. I did not want to change the vault location, because you deserved it. But you could have tried it tool-less, you had seen everything. I hope the money creates something awesome. Sadly no one, but you, seriously scouted me, so I think about recovering..

Re: Rodriguez Robbed for $93,000.

Thanks Eppfel.  That last dog had me completely stumped for a tool-less run.  I figured I could use a cat to help, but when I tested in my house, it didn't work.  It was only on the last run to the vault that I realised my map was wrong - I had the start position for the last dog one space to the right.

If you did recover, I'd promise not to TAKE the vault again (whether I have a house or not).
I might be tempted to FIND the vault, again though!

@Amatiel, I guess someone was in it.  I've been AFK since I finished the house.  It's now ~17k in value.

Re: Rodriguez Robbed for $93,000.

Thanks for letting me know.  I've just updated the house with the takings so far.  There's an entrance to solve first now.

Take a look.  Just a few new puzzles to start with before you get to 'The Gate.'

Re: Rodriguez Robbed for $93,000.

Thx, for the challenge. Feels good finally robbing again. Took me three scouts, one with a ladder and a few saws. I hope the screenshot does not give away too much.

Re: Rodriguez Robbed for $93,000.

It feels painful - I was logged on as you were headed to the safe.  I knew it had to be an experienced robber as you realised the final 'trick' and weren't put off by my decoy.  A nice video to watch that I'll have to think hard about to counter.  I'll also have to incorporate the dead dogs into the design!

By the way, your new name is Herbert John Kinzer.  It took you 710 steps.

Pps, do you like the little midway break I added?  So robbers who have successfully completed the entrance can congratulate themselves with an escape route.

700 steps and nearly 20min. I was mapping the rest of the house, because I did not expect to solve the cat on the first try.

I really like your house for the puzzles and this escape route. I wonder if you can design a house with this at every stage of a house.

Re: Rodriguez Robbed for $93,000.

I will resurrect this house now and keep going with it.  I'll have to think of a few more puzzles to add and I have a few ideas.  No one has solved 'The Gate' without tools yet - the dog filled room.
