Looking for feedback on my house

This was my first ever CD house.  Can anyone give any tips or feedback so I can improve any future houses I make?

One more thing, I think that dog can be drugged from across the pit at 7.

Re: Looking for feedback on my house

I really appreciate the feedback.  Hopefully it will help me build a better house.

As for the waste of money and the start, it was originally wood.  I realised after adding the extra that it was unnecessary 2/3/9

Re: Looking for feedback on my house

I agree with dustman here. The large, first part of your house is too easy to brute force to stop well-tooled robbers, and takes up too much room to be justified as just a ways to kill the poor. There are smaller and more effective ways to kill 2k robbers without letting a brute-forcer bypass such a large area in your house easily. Also, a 50/50 chance is not good odds to gamble your money on at the end of your design.

Overall, though, this is a great first house. Just remember to always keep in mind not just how you will solve your trap, but how people with lots of tools will try to solve it.

Re: Looking for feedback on my house

oh man i almost robbed this house. with 1 scout (6 waters,  brick, and meat) i figured out how the first part worked. then i went in with no tools and made it to the bottom right corner. was a fun house to walk through, but definitely needs to be stronger and harder to solve

Re: Looking for feedback on my house

Dont know if I agree with everything dustman said...

Sometimes unusual traps or traps that appear less than efficient can throw off a robber or lull him into a false sense of security. I would consider my self a pretty clued up robber, and the last thing you want me to be doing... is recognizing often used traps in your house.

The fail safe trap at the very end with the 50/50 chance is highly effective imo. It may be 50% but thats only as a last resort AND you need a crowbar to break it. Although it could be scaled down.
