Bounty/tape weirdness

So James Robert Klein died in my house and I received $500 bounty. The death count did not increase on my tape list.

Later on Max Daniel Williams robs me for $14.

I return home to $14.

So I think the tape list is logging the amount that my wife was holding instead of the amount stolen.

Did you, by any chance, spend that $500 after the guy died?  Maybe spent 472 of it, in fact, leaving 28, which was split between your wife and vault?

The tape where you get the $500 bounty shows her holding $0 (turn visibility on and then scroll around with arrow keys and mouse over the wife).

But immediately after that, it shows her holding $14 on the next tape.  The bounty would have gone 100% to the vault, because she was not involved in killing the robber.  So, where did she get that money?  Only if you returned home, spent some money, and then split the rest with her.

Then Williams comes through and steals the $14 from your vault (but not the $14 your wife is holding).

Also, Williams stole $498 from someone else before robbing you.

Then later, William's starter house was robbed for $2512.

So...
$2000 + 498 + 14 = 2512.

So, it looks like he did steal 14 from you.

Am I missing something here?
