Switches not working

Quite often switches (all of them) will flat-out NOT work; ie I'll have a couple electric floors, then the switch, then the power source. The switch can start on or off, it makes no difference; all electric floors will be on, even when the switch is toggled. This is in the self-test mode, of course. This could very well be working as intended when someone else enters my house, but obviously I cannot get to that point if I can't beat my own trap due to this bug. Surprised nobody else has mentioned it already... totally game-breaking for me right now, as I'm getting it constantly my last few plays.

Please help!

Re: Switches not working

Do you have the switches connected to the power source by steel walls, wired wooden walls, or wires? If you post a pic of your house I can probably help.

Re: Switches not working

I don't think anyone else is having this problem, chances are you're doing something wrong.
Picture of your house perhaps?

Also have you edited any of the source files?

Re: Switches not working

I'm having a similar problem. I just bought the game though so I assume I just don't know they work. Here's what I'm trying to do, shouldn't that switch flip off the power? It doesn't do anything, the power stays on.

You're doing it wrong.
Switch the locations of the switch and the power source (And you might want to make the switch start on).

The way it works is that when a switch is on it lets power pass through it.

There are others having the same or similar problem. Check this thread. It also contains another electric current bug report.
