Hello, i'm very new to the furom but i have owned the Castle Doctrine since update v30. Recently i made a house that earned 49,000 in game money from the bounty's and gear that burglars have left in my house, alone. The house was fifth on the neighbours board (Was very proud) dew to unfortunate events i died inside of the house (closed myself in the bottom left) and i wanted to share with you my design http://castledraft.com/editor/Pfxjql the reason i have chosen to share with you is to show new people ideas on a large scale and ask how to improve it so i can take ideas and add them to my next build ( Remember i have only been playing since V30) so Yeah thats all. If anyone has any idea's on how to inprove my home please let me know.

Hi George! I'm quite sucky at electronics, so I can't pretend to immediately get your house. One question: How does your family leave? Cool of you to share and care.

Yep, I've definitely died in there before!
I don't understand the purpose of the "steel kennel" in the lower right hand area. I guess it's a red-herring vault location where robbers go, thinking they'll find the vault, but get trapped instead? If so, I might add more entrances, or move the entrance to make it more accessible. (maybe it's something else that I don't understand).
With more money I would next "build back" the family area so that they hang out in the lower right corner instead of the lower left, and add some extra obstacles before they're reached, in order to make the most of those tiles and basically increase the cost of reaching the family.
I would also sprinkle some dogs around the wiring area, and thicken it with cheap wood walls so there's less room to move around.
How did most robbers die in your house?
Did you have a lot of people sawing or tunneling through the walls?
Any successes or near successes to speak of?
Congrats on your successful run, sorry you died, and thanks for sharing your house map - very educational.
What you are building is dangerous.

Hi Deathgeorge, welcome to the forums!
Yeah, that is a confusing house - I think there must be some mistakes?
Firstly, there is no way the family could be placed there as they have no clear path to the exit.
I imagine there also must be a dog missing that is supposed to be behind the first dog that you see when you enter? Otherwise there is no way to stop the cat killing you when you go up.
One problem with this design is that it can basically be solved safely only using water and water is quite cheap. Try forcing people to bring more expensive tools to break your house. For instance, replacing the green indicator light before the electric floors in front of the vault with an electric door would make it a lot more expensive to break. Also, use sticking switches on your combination lock so that players can't just return and try different combinations.

Most of the robber either died of charging after the family and locking them selves in with the dogs or sticking the pad to light up the electric floor then thinking the dog would walk on a pad a turn them of (believing it was leap of faith)

It's a nice design, but I would avoid using that much wood; your design would only take $6,100 to brute-force, like this: http://castledraft.com/editor/nMEvyM. Instead, add concrete and pits in choice places to make cutting through the house that much harder.
Otherwise, I like how your entrance trap relies on subverting expectations, and the amount of tricks and dead-ends you have. I would personally recommend against having a combination lock from relatively early on in the house connect directly to the electric floors in front of the vault, though. When people see combo locks, they generally cut through them if they have the saws, and in this case, that would lead them directly to your vault.

I just found the amount of tools it could take to brute force it
1 wire cutter
8 water
4 ladders
1 gun
6 saws
1 drugged meat
1 water
6 wire cutter

All of the floors start on. There are no other impassable obstacles. You'd usually bring other tools for exploring, but once you know enough of the layout...
