Sorry it's not animated but this was an old one, still I think it's funny.

Am I the only one looking forward to when my house falls so that I can share more of this nonsense?

Well in a way it was like impossible for him to die... Unless he get stuck, but the way your house was made saved his ass.

You should add many many doors everywhere to block their views. ;p

I had already seen a lot of people dying from this exact mistake, but i had never seen three of them doing it in a row.

Re: Funniest Home Surveillance Tapes

This had me laughing hard enough I had to figure out how to contribute.

Backstory: when I'm about to log off for a few days, and no more than $2000 to my name, sometimes I like to build something silly. That way, at least I can look forward to that instead of 3 dead bodies and a busted vault.

This time, an intentionally cookie-dough house turned into an unintentionally fiendish death trap for scouts. And just like that, the stupidest house ever nets a $1100 bounty. Had me cracking up...

Re: Funniest Home Surveillance Tapes

HAHAHAHAHA

I just watched the REST of the tapes. I'm sorry, but these are just too good not to share.

Now keep in mind that when I left my house a few days ago, I had $10 left. JUST TEN DOLLARS!!

In fact, here's the first successful robbery of my house:

ubfOIuK.gif

Good job!

Unfortunately, I think the wife still had about $10 on her.

That's right, I went on vacation for a few days and left my wife with the kids and a measly $10.

… and she was PISSED:

Thanks, dear. Now you've attracted attention.

It's a good thing our house still has that state-of-the-art security floor:

az5JBYy.gif

… as you can imagine, the sudden rise in property value brought a new influx of tourists. Things quickly got out of hand from there.

Luckily for us, we had 'Dewayne' to finally bring enough tools to overcome those scary lightning-bolt thingies.

Thanks man.

… oh, and thanks for this:

jNuJdbd.gif

Prick.

—*****—

Suddenly, just like that, I had a $10 house that's practically immune to $2k tools.

This guy even brought a blowtorch. Very useful against steel walls!

…and did I mention the security floor?

Finally, somebody came to end the reign of terror:

Rest in peace, sweetie.

(I still owe you $10)

Re: Funniest Home Surveillance Tapes

I like to imagine that someone's written a CD bot with a neural network that needs a lot of trial and error to get going...
or cats are jumping on people's keyboards whenever they play CD...
or the player simply suffered a stroke...

There has to be some explanation for what we see from most robbers...

Mr Keene entered my house with $60,100 in tools. This is what he had left when he forgot to drug a dog. Censored for my privacy. http://i.imgur.com/ndiDHpe.png

Re: Funniest Home Surveillance Tapes

That's exactly the sort of derp I'm afraid of doing, which is why I'm waiting until I'm utterly bored with my house so that I'm not too paralyzed with fear to think straight when I go robbing.

Re: Funniest Home Surveillance Tapes

Maybe it's just that I /am/ bored with the game now, but scouting and robbing mid to high range houses is the most fun I've had in the game. For weeks I spent time perfecting every inch of my palace and happily watching the hundreds of deaths, I'm talking 500+. Now I just love breaking houses. Mr Keene was only even in my house because I had spent 50k scouting his, and was mere hours away from having the cash to break it completely. It actually bummed me out that he died, because it robbed me of the fun of robbing him; and it also sent his 15 paintings back to the auction house, rather than my vault. It's fun, take your time and you will love it.

Re: Funniest Home Surveillance Tapes

I was actually sort of playing a different game, making a house that was a good balance between 'fun' and secure, the real goal being maximum lols per day...but I sort of accidentally all the security near the front door...and I'm seriously considering dialling the difficulty back.

Re: Funniest Home Surveillance Tapes

Just died and had to start over again after almost a week on the front page, wasn't looking forward to it (I'm Keene, mentioned above). I decided to try building with my starting 2k because I'm insane, but then this happened:

Thank you Barry Michael Carroll, you just made my life a whole lot easier, you bad, bad man.

Thanks, i'm pretty sure he wasn't paying attention at all; notice how he opened the door even after the camera had scrolled and revealed that he was in trouble. He was probably moving quickly and didn't notice the dog until after he had opened the door. It wouldn't have made a difference anyway; the dog still would have beaten him to the exit, but it just goes to show what a non threatening entrance can accomplish.

You're Carroll? I died in your house like about 2 hours ago. Left a +20k bounty. Did you see the tape?

There were some long zig-zag corridors at the beginning, your family had to take a really long walk in order to exit the house after being spotted. They were right above a series of maybe 6 or 7 doors with 3 or more pitbulls protecting their 'flank', I sawed and drugged my way through the dogs and reached your family from the upper side, then I noticed a pitbull behind a window there in that 'family room', but paid no mind to it. After that I searched the rest of the house for your vault with no success. Then i decided to take a second look at your 'door row' and opened every door there, at that point I had forgot all about the dog I had spotted earlier. When I opened the penultimate door the bastard killed me instantly.

So, where was the vault?
