Paradox circuit

So I understand why and how this works, but what I can't figure out is how to attach it to a magic dance floor.
Here's a pretty simple magic floor, could someone show me how I would attach a paradox circuit?

Re: Paradox circuit

http://castledraft.com/editor/gNF5op does this work? Am I doing anything that doesn't need to be done or am I missing something?

That works fine. Note: That design activates from the far side, passing power towards the entry. Thus, cutting in the middle yields this.
If, instead, you want it to activate from the near-side, hook it up like this

Re: Paradox circuit

Thank you Blip. Would this be possible to have both sides light up? http://castledraft.com/editor/OHZv5F

Re: Paradox circuit

On review that would obviously not work. Would this? http://castledraft.com/editor/0bIixe

Mh...  Just replace the electric floor by conducting indicator lights and one toggle switch and test it.

Re: Paradox circuit

I've been playing with it and cannot get it to work from both sides. Anyone know if it is even possible?

I had something similar to this, where cutting in either direction killed you, but I'm not sure how to adapt the design to what you're looking for. The main problem with this design is that the grid in the corner, the one that actually kills you when attempting to cut, can actually be cut itself before stepping onto it, ensuring safety. That's fine in this scenario, when it's just one grid that's not part of a loop and you know that it's that grid on which people will be standing when cutting other grids, and then power whichever side they don't cut using paradox circuits. However, it wouldn't suit itself well to magic dances.

Re: Paradox circuit

I guess lighting up behind them would be best as you still have the rest of the magic dance in front of them to worry about? But then if they cut the very first grid the paradox circuit will be for naught.

Re: Paradox circuit

Blip, i understand advanced circuitry to an extent, but your corner electric floor trap doesnt make sense to me. i dont understand the point of those extra electronics. how does this trap work? im genuinely intrigued

Re: Paradox circuit

Maybe something like this - http://castledraft.com/editor/zHTcO7? I never used paradox before. In theory it should fry robber if he cuts through wiring, or if he presses two buttons in the row.

Maybe you can depower the function of shutting itself off: http://castledraft.com/editor/SYMptj

For both sides, maybe you can use two paradox c-s like in Blip's image - one for left and one for right, with buttons affecting both.
