Game ruined

Seriously, this game has been completely ruined by the people who play it...  Thank you people who abuse the system for making me never want to play it again which takes AWAY from the developer...   if you want good experiences in the future, please quit being complete dick heads...

Re: Game ruined

Explain? I see no reason that makes the game bad or unplayable....this game requires a brain, if you want to improve.I think every human has one.

If A is success in life, then A equals x plus y plus z. Work is x; y is play; and z is keeping your mouth shut.

Re: Game ruined

The only one that can ruin the game for you is actually you yourself. Get used to dying and losing your house - it's part of the game. Stop expecting that you will know how to play it after few minutes. You need to learn and learn and be patient. If you want to play game where you just go through castles using your sword and/or atomic bombs and have checkpoint at every corner then you are at wrong place. This game is different - you need to get used to it. People didn't kill you or make you try rob their house - it was your choice. People will not let you rob their house just so you can be happy - it's their money so you can't expect they will give it away easily.

Re: Game ruined

JKesler22, I can feel the frustration in the tone of your post, and I certainly agree that The Castle Doctrine can be very frustrating at times.

Would you mind explaining, in specific detail, exactly what behavior other players are engaging in which has ruined the game for you?  Currently, it's unclear.

What you are building is dangerous.

Re: Game ruined

Hey, at least he went to the trouble of making an account here instead of just complaining on the steam forums. Hell, I think this might be first out and out rant I've seen on this forum (admittedly I haven't been here as long as most people).

Re: Game ruined

Suedo, I will tell you what behaviour ruins the game for me:

*Respawn.
*Validate an empty house.
*Find a new name in the list.
*Load up $2k in tools, either wife killer or vault breaker, very few <$2k houses can defend against both.
*Wreck a new house that cost less to build than your tools.
*Suicide.
*Repeat.

It is not so bad lately, but these guys were the majority of players for some time when I started playing, with at least a couple of very rich players in there masquerading as these guys as well, except they had massive bounties, which I found out by designing a griefer trap. smile

Though my new house, a scout killer that scored 6 for 9 overnight had two $2k toolers in a row today, taking ~$450 from my vault using $4000 worth of tools between them.

edit: I should not say majority of players, rather majority of robbers, since one player could go through every new house once per day, so it only takes a few guys doing it.
