Wife VS No wife.

Simple, just say if you uses the wife or not and why.

I'll start by me...

I do uses the wife simply because the wife is pretty much the most important thing in your house losing her mean automatic suicide button... wink

Without the wife if someone get to your vault then, it's game over you have 0$ left and if you have a wife with at least 500-1000 then you can always survive and continue with the house.

Re: Wife VS No wife.

Being single has many advantages:
1) You can always go hang out at the local bar without having to worry about someone murdering your wife and kids.
2) You will never be nagged and nagged and nagged about leaving the front door unlocked.
3) You will never have to split half your money every time you come home.
4) You can go clubbing with the neighbors wife and her husband wont be able to return the favor.
5) You can play The Castle Doctrine all day/night without wife aggro.
6) No one will ask you what have you been doing all day when you come home.
7) Who needs a wife when you can buy pussy... I mean kitty cats at $8 a piece.
8) You wont have to share the bathroom.... wait... where is the bathroom???
9) Your electric bill wont kill you anymore. No one will be using all the lights on all day long, which means more money for left over for traps.
10) You wont have someone yelling at you to walk 30+ dogs every night.

No wife.  It's way easier to construct 1 complex base versus 2 difficult bases.  The path the wife needs to get out make her annoying.  Her logic is terrible, her traps are limited, and she's always going to be a liability until you have $40,000.  But at that point, the base you can build is so much better... why would you ever want her?

Simply because she is extremely easy to protect...

Put her behind 20-40 dogs at the end of a extremely long hallway with around 4-6 of thick concrete walls. and there you go your wife is now impossible to kill unless your house get in the insane amount of money in the vault like over 200k-300k, but at this point NOTHING in your house is safe not even your vault when someone with 150-200k worth of tools can come in and simply destroy everything.

But if you keep your house at 20-40k then no one will ever kill her and if someone steal your vault then you still have 10-20k left so you will continue to get rob and you might even get back some of the money you lose over night and seeing people die in a house than is already broke is always fun to watch.

Re: Wife VS No wife.

Its a matter of preference really... I mean you can build a house with a wife in mind and it will work well with the benefit of having a safety wallet. You could also design a house with no wife with the intention of keeping everyone out as much as possible, but with no safety wallet. Eventually a house will break. How much work fix it up after it does is important too.

A plane with wooden wings is much easier to fix and get back up into the air than a plane with metal wings. Ponder on this thought.

Wooden wings, metal wings, I would not like to find myself in any plane with broken wings. How about we take the train instead?

Re: Wife VS No wife.

I "try" to keep my wife safe, but try to limit the benefits of someone killing her.  The problem with keeping her though is someone scouts my house, comes back to kill my wife, and while they are there they tear up some walls and throw food everywhere.  I've even had someone do this three times in a row killing one family member each time so that when they destroy my traps, they stay broken.  Depending on how many traps are between him and my vault, I come back to find either find nothing or a broken house with little to no money.

Still kind of new, so figuring out which I like more. But I have to say, the wife(and kids) do make for cheap trap-control labor... (pressure pads+pet vs panic button). And when you're working from a fresh start, that can mean that much more $ left over for more potential deathmaking.

I have been thinking and I believe that the family is probably supposed to be a burden... Like IRL you know?

Food? I don't remember any food? Are we... smoking something today....?  I had no idea that she kept all that food in the walls. Makes sense, since I can't find where she put the refrigerator. Maybe food can be the next game mechanic? You can throw tomatoes at the dogs to make them skip a turn or maybe chuck an apple at a cat and have a 50% chance of killing it. smile  Hell... its cheaper than bricks and who the hell out there is selling bricks at $150 a piece? Thats crazy! Man I want in on that business!

Steaks are food, but drugged meat is not advisable for human consumption smile
