Killing wives with the club?

Does the club only kill an unarmed wife?  If she has the shotgun is she immune? I couldn't seem to do it even though she was 1 square away.

If she has the shotgun and you are next to her, which you need to be to club her, she will shoot you.

You can also smash windows and kill animals and kids with the club. Be careful with pitbulls, though. They kill you once you share a tile, so when the spacing is off between you and the pitbull, a club won't help you. Experienced players set their dogs to be spaced to your disadvantage. Only a gun will kill such pitbulls - or using the traps in the house against it (if that's an option):

my fav trick lately is try to club one of the kids on the trigger lock (wife must be out of site) or she will trap you when she goes to the kid.  This way you can come back and club the wife as she wont' be able to pick up the shotgun.

I was doing this in a house and forgot the wife would beeline right back to the kid. Walked right into her. Damn you GABT!
