Re: Workers of the world unite!

@Passive, what was my bounty?  I wouldn't have thought too high, as I was quite passive, but should have been a few K.

Re: Workers of the world unite!

Yea, $14k9. Neither of you went any of the directions i had hoped people would go big_smile. Then then the final thief only need 1 drugged meat and 2 saws. However it was interesting watching you running round out the back following the wires big_smile

Re: Workers of the world unite!

That was the short-cut! smile

I'd forever thought about making the wife more secure, but also toyed with placing her by the entrance to kill her off and make a truly mean entrance.  Turned out to be a good move to keep her easy to reach!

Its OK i probably would of lost it when i got bored of not robbing. Gonna give it a bit of a rest for now. Can't be bothered making another house starting with only 2k. You guys showed how easy it was to get through big_smile Gonna have to practice robbing so i start with more next time.

Re: Workers of the world unite!

It's all Passive's fault - He said no one was looking in his house, so I decided to have a peep.  I then accidentally committed!

Having said that, I wanted a change anyway, hence why I posted most of the map.

Yea, curiosity killed the cat... that and hanging itself big_smile

Keep thinking its such a shame that i didn't find this game until now. Only 17 houses, no wonder it is so hard to get some starting capital (

Re: Workers of the world unite!

The genius of this game is that if there is less players... it just means that those players have fewer places to rob!

In all honesty, the is little comparative difference to the amount my house gets robbed nowadays compared to when it was at its peak player-base, because when there was lots of houses, robbers had HEAPS of houses to choose from so yours might not get a visit!

Maybe slightly less, but not a huge difference i feel.

Re: Workers of the world unite!

I think there is a big difference.  If you think back to the prime, often, you'd find yourself clicking 'return to home' repeatedly, trying to get back in because you were being robbed.  2k 0 0 starter houses came and went in a flash - if you saw one, you had a second to react before someone else took it.  These rarely happen like this any more, for the better in both cases.  However, with less houses, there is a lot less money in the game.  This is why I really didn't want to see the money in Blanchard's house wasted by my careless robbing!  The good thing is, that most of the remaining players understand that the only way this game can survive is with generosity mixed in with selfishness.  Selfish, by robbing the rich.  Generous, by giving often to all.

Re: Workers of the world unite!

I just wondered where Blanchard is gone. That was one funny thread to read. I really like your house for its entrance. Was anyone  closer to the vault than me? I made it over the leap of faith once.
Nice idea to share the map. I understand you, because now i have 2 active houses. sad
Actually, I was planning for robbing you and I would have taken the route sawing through the south with one ladder in the bag pack.
For the mechanics with less players: Sadly I still get a lot of naked scouts.

Re: Workers of the world unite!

Only two people made any progress.

One person worked out that you need to step on the entrance to send the cat through the door.

One other person made some good progress through brute-forcing.

Which were you?

Re: Workers of the world unite!

just to make this thread EVEN more hilarious i am ashamed to announce i killed myself in self-testing.

I was SO fucking careful, but despite this i was screwed over by something that didnt come up during ANY of my EXTENSIVE testing.

I needed ALL of that dosh that i scored to build the place, and it was only just enough.

So. I am devestated now. I am definitely gonna have to take a break for a while, during which time ill decide whether to reveal my ultimate design or try to make it a reality once again.

Apologies for losing all that money sad

Re: Workers of the world unite!

Meh.  I'd lost it anyway.  Okay, we need to do a fair few santa runs to inject money into the current houses.  I think I'll stick to santa robbing for a while.
