Re: Workers of the world unite!

I keep doing the same thing. Just started and managed to grab 1600 so had $3600 to start my house. Instantly killed by a silly mistake in wiring during a self test. Sad face.

Just got lucky on 2 or 3 freebies, unfortunately greed got the better of me and i was checking for the 4th, whilst i was doing that someone came and stole half my start up money. But got a bit better house then my normal starts now as it cost about 4k. And its first investigator died big_smile

And then i kill myself if self test again. Had enough money left so thought would upgrade my leap of faith from electric floor to a trap door, so rather then saving me the dog re opened the trap. Dead sad

It's a tough learning curve.  You'll die many more times but each will help you learn a little more!

Re: Workers of the world unite!

I managed to catch out some people in my sipders web last night. Unfortunately after the first few my guard dog got killed by a leap of faith trap, leaving the vault very exposed, so even thugh i had got upto about $3k at one point i was at $0 when i woke up.

Managed to land a freebie this morning so got a simple house on the go and am having a little game of hide and seek with Steven Timothy Rogers. Lets see who wins big_smile

Re: Workers of the world unite!

Steven Timothy Rogers. Would be my guess, as they seem to be online now as keeping coming into house list for about 30 seconds then going. If it is you your value has flown up since i last saw you in the house list big_smile

Re: Workers of the world unite!

I just visited a new house 0-0, $850 with a lot of pitbulls.  Is that you?  If so, your name is Milton Richard Ham!

Re: Workers of the world unite!

You were scouting my house. So i did a few improvements... only to kill myself in the self test. Getting pretty annoying now.

Re: Workers of the world unite!

Sorry about that - I was just being curious (I wasn't going to take the money if I found the vault - hence why I kept my way back clear).

It's an annoying part of the game, but also one of the best.  You know someone is making progress on your house and you have to act fast to stop them.  The adrenaline is amazing!  Of course, the crash when you lose it all feels so real.  The highs and lows in this game are extreme.

Only two people made any progress.

One person worked out that you need to step on the entrance to send the cat through the door.

One other person made some good progress through brute-forcing.

Which were you?

I guess both^^ Although I figured out your cat thing, I wanted to know what's in the north, when I obtain some tools in including a crowbar. But with the multiple cats and dogs I think I would not have risked it, to solve it properly and just go for the most promising route.

Now, that no big house is alive anymore. There is no one to rob sad I guess I am going to work on my house and reveal a little help, later.

Re: Workers of the world unite!

I enjoyed the early tussle as you were working out how to progress past the initial cat dance and I was making patches to secure it more.  You forced me to be more creative there!

After losing the house, I did half-a-dozen or so santa runs, but I now have a new house after a 22k heist on the Dubois house. Sometimes, peeking behind a single door can spill the secrets of an entire house!
