Re: Who was George John Rodriguez?

Wait, what? I've mapped quite a lot of Rodriguez, so without revealing too much, can you say how how on earth that dog gives away anything? He's had it there through almost all his house variations.

Re: Who was George John Rodriguez?

well that poxy dead dog has killed me twice in the past because it can make the next trap unpassable

Dont want to reveal too much here, out of respect for eppfel.

His signature is incorporating dead things into his house security.

He should rename himself "The Undertaker"

@Osmium Planet, the wrong way used to be the right way.  Without the dog there, you wouldn't know which is the right way.

Re: Who was George John Rodriguez?

That's what I mean.  With the dog there, it's clear which is the right way.  Without the dog, you'd need to explore both ways to find the safe.

Re: Who was George John Rodriguez?

@Eppfel, I have now found two confirmed vault locations (both empty, but you reset the house between me finding the two...) and I know where the third would be.  I think I spotted that dead dog had gone last time I popped my head in... I'll have to take a look!

Actually there are 4 more locations you did not find, yet. Really nice tapes, you are a skilled robber, Sir.

For other readers of this thread: I want to give away, what only AMWhy found out so far. The cat northwards is not a dead end. Not saying the vault is somewhere there, but others should also enjoy my traps. The southwards path is not full explored as well.

I'm just building two more traps now and than the house is mainly finished.

Re: Who was George John Rodriguez?

Nope, just finished ^^ I am extra careful, so you all can enjoy my house a little longer.
I actually did not create any new paths, but added a few traps on their way. And I must admit there are 2 traps included in my house, which are not really accessible without brute-force, but not über-hard to solve.
There is still one update to come, which I could not finish, yet. After that I may change the vaults location, but not the traps.
The total possible vault locations are 8 (but one is just to easy).

I'm still drawing blanks on the actual vault location...  My last attempt was pitiful.

Eppfel, the further I get into Rodriguez's house, the more I admire it.  It's a work of art!

Re: Who was George John Rodriguez?

Thx, AMWhy. I really dig this approach of building houses. You made some serious progress. Very nice how you used the cat to club the dog on the north wall. Yet, you did not reach a vault location without tools. Did you solve them?
My house is finished now. I may reinforce some weak spots, but the traps will stay.

Re: Who was George John Rodriguez?

I'm getting there - the aim is to solve it tool-less.  That club was necessary in the name of progress!

Rodriguez house:
Well I finally solved that path tool-less!  Of course, the vault wasn't there...
That's 5 potential vault locations I've reached.  I guess it's a 1 in 5 chance each time!

Re: Who was George John Rodriguez?

Congrats. Nice tape.
Actually there are still 3 more vault locations. So, the chances are 1 in 8, but only if I have time to change the vault's location. And with some tools you are able to check multiple in one run.

Re: Who was George John Rodriguez?

But I believe three of them are inaccessible without tools... because of that dead dog near the start...  Or am I wrong?

Not at all, but your reply just might have given me the impetus to see a possible solution!  Time to ditch my new house and have a go!

Re: Who was George John Rodriguez?

So I just died pretty quickly, but I figured out how to get past it!  Now I have a whole new area of Rodriguez to explore, with the bonus that I know some of it from before!

Yea, you can see the difference between the haves and the have nots. Goes from 19k to 1k8 from changing the page on house list.
