Seems to be gone for a while now, so I guess not. But then again, I think there's a few people who go around destroying those kinds of exploit houses.
The whole "broken house" thing has to be thought through imho. Something that feels like a bug is that it's possible to by paintings in a broken house. It's just too ludicrously easy to make a one-time-rob house of epic proportions and then hoard all the paintings one by one. (See the Johnson house in its current state! Broken but buying paintings...)

Oh, goodneeeesssss.
That is a bug! If there are paintings in the vault, you should be able to reach the vault and grab them.

With most traps except pitbulls nerfed this strategy seems to be the new uninventive way to make a strong house. I liked the idea behind it at first, but now I think I preferred magic dance houses; you could at least walk around and get into the circuits with a bunch of ladders.
I think the best way to deal with this would be to change how the wife/vault money system works.

I still think all we needed was limited range of electronics. A magic dance behind max three deep walls isn't that much of a problem in the end.
Oh well, at this stage the game seems unplayable for me. You need 30k or so to even get started designing something hideous and uninteresting. Idk, some kind of bit-lock with combined electric-floor-pitbull-wiring or so. Yuck.
