Discuss the massively-multiplayer home defense game.

Hello Castle Doctrine fans, and hello to newcomers. I'm new, whether you got that already is beyond me. However, I'm here for one reason, this game looks great. Not only does it look like an original idea. It just reminds me of why I love the type of games similar to, "Clash Of Clans," and why I love MMO's in general. This Massively Multiplayer game looks very promising. Problem, it needs a lot of updating, obviously, I am aware this game is in Alpha, Early Access. So whatever the finished product will be like, again, it's beyond me. I bring here for all of you fans, and everyone else who wants to try this game. I bring you this, an idea that occurred to me when I was playing and what I thought at first.
[2014] The Many Ideas: (This is a new Thread that will have MANY ideas to do with Castle Doctrine, and how it can be improved on.) - [Your Host, Rockyz]
- Corpse Placement. Here is an idea that occurred to me when I was gong through the dark depths in other player's houses. When you watch your security tapes, you'll notice rather someone succeeding or dying a horrible death to your traps. And many of these deaths, you see them but you wonder sometimes: Where are the bodies/corpses? This idea sounds original, and after doing some research on the Forums/Suggestion, I've come to the conclusion that this idea is originally created by me. Nobody else has made a thread to do with this idea. Sorry if it sounds rude, I'm just trying to state that this idea is unique, and wasn't taken from any other thread.
Corpse Placement works like this. When you go back to your home, you will see the many failures that died in your traps. Whether they were eaten, killed by traps, or brutally murdered by your dogs. Then here is a first look edition on what could be a successful feature to the game.
Once you walk around your home, you will notice this instead: "Dead Corpses," the corpses of the players that have failed to rob you. Now this is sad for them, but an ongoing celebration for you. Now you see, the ideas that this feature can bring, is almost amazing! - When you find the corpses in the traps. You have a choice:
"Remove the corpses." (Oh and by the way, I also thought of maybe being able to sell the corpses to an Auction or something...) - Making cash in a more efficient way.
"Pick-up the corpses." Place them where you like, in the darkness and foggy homes, you could place the bodies to startle your thieves. You could scare them even.
"If you don't pick up the corpses, they stay there for other Thieves to see..." - I find this pretty entertaining to watch on the Security tapes. And I think watching someone walk away from a corpse because of insanity. I think you'll find yourself grinning once or twice to the humiliation that your home of traps has brought to your foes...
- Corpse Placement, I feel this feature could result in some interesting game-play. And it's not a bad idea, it's a small tweak that would hardly ruin the experience, instead, it'll just build-up to an even greater experience of gameplay. My name is Rockyz, I hope you liked this idea, and I can't wait to see it implemented in some shape or form. However, if it doesn't get implemented. Remember, it's not the end of the world :3
- Question: "Is this game going to go Free To Play on it's full release date?" - If it does, I see this game getting loads and loads of attention. Obviously, you'd have to add In-game payments, but hey, that wouldn't bother me a single bit. I'd still get on and rob all day, If I have to XD
- Thanks again for reading, more ideas coming soon! -
POST YOUR FEEDBACK BELOW, I'D LOVE TO HEAR IT. THANKS AGAIN, - ROCKYZ

This is an interesting idea although I feel the one single drawback would be when you go to bed. As each failure stays put in the trap that killed them (until you decide what to do with the body), each robber after will see the bodies and be able to pick their way around them to find the right path. In the 8hrs or so while you are asleep you may have as many as 30 attempts on your house.
If I vanish it's not due to a burglar shooting me as well as my wife while making his way to the vault....
I'm just a burst player.

What if there was "Hide," bodies option.
Or... If the bodies would decay over-time.
I think the "Hide," bodies option sounds the best. It would do the trick.
With every great idea comes many flaws. (Well maybe not many, but some for sure.)
I don't know though, I really feel that implementing this idea without that 1 flaw.
I feel that the game needs this, maybe, I'm being to optimistic :c
- Edit: We could also go with this idea.
"If there are 5+ bodies in your house."
Your house will lock, and it will be locked to burglary for certain amount of time.
Each body could add up: +1 Hour each.
If the bodies are removed in that time, then the House unlocks for Burglary.
If the bodies aren't removed in the time given, then they decay, I think this is another great idea to tackle the flaw of the main purpose.
Depends though, it all depends on whether you and the many fans of this game also agree with us.

It would also be a dead give away as to the correct path to take in many houses - ok, go down the path not littered with corpses.
I'm pretty sure the idea has come up on the forums before buried deep in a thread.

I like the core idea, I think someone did suggest it before. It would be pretty immersive to see the actual corpses of dead players. There'd be a few problems though:
What would happen if two players died on the same spot? What if a robber died on a wall which they just cut through? Would the house save every single death?
I think, if implemented, it should just be kept simple like the bodies of your family; just leave them or remove them. You could use them to scare players, but you'd have to purposefully build your house around it rather than just move it. This way it would be a pretty powerful deterrent to robbers seeing that another player has already actually died there and introduce some physiological elements to the house, "Are they just trying to scare me away from that route, or is it a legitimate death? Are they thinking I'll choose that route thinking that they're putting it to scare me?".
TCD isn't going to be free to play, steam release should give a lot of attention. The price will only increase over time.

I like that idea also. However, what do you think about these changes to my idea?

- Edit 2: The pathways would be visible, (unless, this idea above ^^) changes the way that worked. And I feel that this idea could be implemented with that extra feature I just solved :3

Locking down the house also introduces more problems. Currently, as I mentioned you could have up to 30 players visit your house. Thats a lot of cash, however if your house locked down after 5 then you would miss out on maybe 5-10k

If you give me more time, I will come up with a bullet-proof solution to the flaws occurring with my idea :3

Don't get me wrong I think it would be awesome to have a graveyard to scare people or even move bodies to fool people. It would be a cool feature. I just can't see it working without breaking the gameplay in some way.
