Backpack / Auction vulnerability?

If you're in the backpack screen or auction screen for too long while you're constructing your house, I believe that the game times you out for inactivity after awhile, causing vulnerability. My questions are:

1. If you're inside your backpack (while constructing a house) are you vulnerable to being robbed?
2. While inside the auction house for paintings, are you vulnerable to being robbed?

Re: Backpack / Auction vulnerability?

I don't think you're vulnerable to being robbed in either of those places. I think that as long as you're doing something, even just clicking buttons, the game won't throw you out.

Re: Backpack / Auction vulnerability?

You get kicked out of your house after 5 minutes of doing nothing.  If you're not actively buying stuff, you shouldn't camp in either of those screens.

However, your house is still checked out while you're in those screens, so no one else can get to it.

But you do leave the house every time you go out to watch tapes.  You have to drive down to the ADT Home Security office to view those tapes.
