Servers overloaded?

So I had to wait for a long time to even get through to the forums again.

In fact I'm not even too confident this message is going to post, so I'll keep it brief!

Why are the servers so messed up? I have had multiple really really REAAAALLY long loads (I got to Retrying Server 30+ I think lol). The contest is over, so shouldn't the servers be settling down, if nothing else?

I think everyone is having issues. I spent ages trying to connect to show off my house to a mate.

Yeah, just lost my 50k house when it timed out after completing a self test...

I'd recommend holding off until things have stabilized to avoid dying.

Sorry folks... Apache (the web server) got into a crashing mode for some reason.

It last had this happen something like 6 months ago.

And now... just like that, it stopped crashing.  I've got my hosting company looking at it... but it's late at night now, so they're kind of slow.

Anyway, it's sort of the ultimate nightmare.

Somehow, it waited to happen until AFTER the contest was over for about two hours.

Somehow, it didn't happen on January 29 during my Steam launch.... well, here's hoping.

No, sorry, I can't restore houses.  I've been at this since 6am this morning and it's now 11pm at night... and I STILL have more stuff to do before I sleep.

The silver lining to this is being forced to start over and ending up designing a most excellent death trap of a house.
