Launch Contest

While the promotion for pre-launch was awesome (I was barely #5 by 22 in game currency!), I'd love to see another contest at steam launch to attract even more people, especially since steam will provide even more customers! There was so much activity on the weekend because of it, making the game fun and exciting.

I assume the $8 pre-launch price went directly to you and I'm not sure how much of a cut steam gets from your product if purchased from there, but, I was drawn to your game by the press around the 'real money contest' and ultimately ended up loving the product. You'd definitely get a return on investment, and, while the door locks / $50 gift card / dog baton is great novelty for your home security theme --- I think people would be much more attracted to the cash and the paintings. I'd also love to see a top 10 instead of 8, gives people more of a 'chance' to make it. Just my 2c.

What it comes down to is: do you plan to have anymore of these types of events in the future? Thanks Jason!

I believe it was a top 8 because that has always been the number of people on each page within the game. I like a top 8, its specific to the game. But I do hope there is a possibility of more contests in the future. This past week was very fun and a great way to send the game into release on Steam.
