Hello!
I just bought this game and I need some help in figuring out what I'm doing. There is no tutorial or manual that I could see so it's pretty much just being dropped into your house with a bunch of icons on the screen. I've read some so I understand what the game is about, but I really don't have a clue on how to start or where to begin.
For example, I'm confused that walls and doors appear to be set in pairs. Is there always only one external door, and are there external windows? Stuff like this.. basically I'm wondering if there was a getting started document or Wiki, something to just get the basics down so I can begin to explore the possibilities.
Thank you!

Here is the official WIKI.

But honestly when I started playing this game in Alpha last March a LOT of the fun was trying to figure out what each weapon did, how to make electronics work, WTF a cat did, etc. My buddy and I discussed it every day and immediately told each other once we realized something new like that a Brick could make a pressure plate turn on from a distance or something like that. It was an awesome thing to figure out whilst playing.

hi Miller (and welcome!)
You can start off with this stuff:
Wiki
FAQ
And there's a lot of youtube videos that can help you feel what you "should" be doing. But always look at the video posting date, because some things like pets/furnitures behavior are very likely to have changed if its an old video (because of newer versions of the alpha)
