Tape -> gif

Someone might have mentioned something similar, but a tool that rips sections of security tapes and turns them into looping gifs would be BRILLIANT. I know I'm going to make some gifs from my tapes and they're going to end up so much larger than need be (due to transitions between steps), plus it's going to be a huge pain.

I don't know if there's anyway to get access to the tapes outside of the game, so it may be something that only Jason could do.

This kind of thing might help with marketing though, in the same way that Lets Play drove the success of certain games in the last couple years.

Re: Tape -> gif

There are many tools that convert videos to animated gifs. Just record the tape as a video and then convert.

Re: Tape -> gif

You can alternate between "Step" and = to quickly get a separate image for each turn. Then you just put it into anything that makes gifs.

Re: Tape -> gif

Ok, that one actually seems pretty simple, colorfusion. Didn't think about it. Still much harder than what I'm suggesting, but something I'm willing to do.

Re: Tape -> gif

I did a quick one by SS each step, then went to makeagif.com and let that website do it for me. Originally I tried using camtasia but couldn't work out how to reduce the resolution of the gif from 1080p.

Re: Tape -> gif

I use this paint.net plugin once I've got the images to make gifs, it lets me just drag them all in at once then save it and adjust timing/repeating without any watermark/website.
