[bug] dog behaviour

I seem to be having some issues with dog behaviour nearby other dogs that died in traps. Example shown;

The top left dog should continue following the robber, but instead stops.

Re: [bug] dog behaviour

Pets don't go adjacent to other dead pets. It's a strange quirk which was added to make clubs/crowbars less powerful and guns more powerful.

Sorry, didn't realize that it was designed that way.

Re: [bug] dog behaviour

Seems a bit counter intuitive. One cat in a pit can block a hallway three spaces wide? If this behaviour isn't a bug I'm going to have to rethink my current strategy.

Re: [bug] dog behaviour

It's not a bug. It's a bit strange to learn at first, but it's in for good balance reasons. I think the logical reasoning behind it is simply that pets don't really want to step next to dead corpses of other pets.

It can only block a three wide corridor if it's in the middle of the corridor. If that is the case then yes it will block the adjacent tiles to the left and right, only for pets though.

Correction: Dead animals block movements, as long as you don't step right next to a pitbull

EDIT: Aka here, it may look safe to open those doors but it really isn't: http://castledraft.com/editor/STObzr

Yeah, I should have mentioned this. A dog will still move onto a tile adjacent to a dead animal if you're in that tile.
