Purchased the game online via "Fast Spring.com" with credit card charge from FS *Jrohrer.
downloaded an Executable file from thecastledoctrine.net
Ran the executable file that unpacked the files.
Open the folder and ran CastleDoctrine.exe Everything seemed fine up to this point.
What's odd is an all black screen shown up with Email and Download code fields.
I populated them with the appropriate email and download code using the internal paste button.
Then "Login Failed" shown in RED. Its been two hours with the same results.
Is this normal? My fear is I just ran some sort of malware that took my credit card information.
Please advise.
Your allowed 3 steps into my house. Any more than that and your mine.

So long as you got it from http://thecastledoctrine.net/ (Which goes through FastSpring) or http://steamcommunity.com/app/249570 then you've downloaded the legitimate game. What you've described sounds exactly like the game login screen, so I wouldn't worry.
Make sure you're typing in your email and code exactly correct, after that you can email Jason at jasonrohrer@fastmail.fm if you're still having problems. (He's also on the forums pretty often, so might see this here too)

Thanks for quick reply. Its been 3 hours now so I will email the contact person you provided.
Is it that the servers down for maintenance and no one can login?

The servers seem fine right now, I can log in. There's a specific message when the server are down for maintenance.

Check with your receipt too.
The "Email:" that you should use in game to login might not be your actual email, instead it might be a generated one like 8967498679478567497409267894376@fastspring.com
My one is a generated one, like 49864832564569874265946592@steamgames.com (where the numbers are actually my "long SteamID"), and not the email I actually used to purchase the game.
Check that you really should be using your real email and not got a generated one.
Send jasonrohrer@fastmail.fm your Download Code (Format: XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX) and he should be able to back-track and look up your "email".

Yeah, if you're using steam to login I think it's [Steam ID]@steamgames.com. If you're using the one from the website then it's the email you bought it with.

But we don't know about fastspring and such.
So as I said to OP, check your receipt, which you should get in email when purchasing. There all login details should be written.
Paypal should use your real email what I know. But the Fastspring checkout MIGHT use a generated one, I don't know.
