I am getting chills from houses I do not die in, is there a reason for this? I've noticed this the past couple of days.
Do you get chills from every house you have ever entered when you die?

What I have understand, if you bring Tools with you, you will get chill to, even if you deplete all the Tools.
So either you can go scouting, and reenter the house, or you can decide to use Tools but then you only get one shot.

Any houses that you've visited with tools an hour 24 hours before death will also get chills.

It's now 24 hours.
Essentially, if you "leave your mark" on a house, by reaching the vault or carrying tools in there, then there's a potential chill on that house for 24 hours after that. The chill turns on if you ever die in that 24 hour period.
Furthermore, it's not just 24 real-world hours, but 24 hours of the target house being listed on the public list. So, if the owner is camping in there, the chill timer stops ticking, and the chill lasts longer.
