Twice so far I have had people carrying tools come into my home for the first time ever and hang themselves without taking a single step.
Why? They have never seen the house set up ever before. Was what they saw just as they walked in the door that they were so distraught that even taking one step backwards out was too much for them? They had to actually click the checkbox and THEN the Suicide button.
It is all so very strange. And it REALLY gives the Welcome Mat an ironic feeling.

That's what happens during a disconnect. It's fairly common. What's more suspect is when someone takes multiple steps, then suicides.

Yes, probably disconnects. Or pehaps someone was beeing "nice". For example, I was bored the other day (I had no inspiration to build traps) so I was running around suiciding in houses with low cash just to give them some start-up money.

What mystifies me is when folks (and this is several) have the exit in sight and yet choose to detour into a pit bull they've drugged.

This is how it goes:
Start with $2000, spend it all on tools. Now pick a random high value house and try to rob it. When you realize that you have failed but can still escape you have two options:
Walk into the pit/pitbull which is right near the door.
Walk out the door and press the suicide button.
They have the same effect but one is faster. Chills on houses you have visited with tools does not give them a reason to wait until they get home.

Depending on the house, it can be a good idea to leave and return with no tools give it your best shot. There is nothing to lose at this point.

I've done this, and it's because I forget that drugged pitbulls aren't dead with incredible regularity.
