Tribute to the Wife of Castle Doctrine (fan art)

Rqt8diM.png

She keeps half my money safe, is responsible for over half the deaths in my house and is generally kickass.

Here's to the wife! big_smile

Nice! It almost has a Wolfenstein 3D vibe. Feel free to take some artistic liberties!

Now I'm imagining a mod that lets you explore houses in 3D, with Wolfenstein style sprites. Someone has to do this smile.

If Jason wants to expand on this game and open up more (justifiable) revenue streams, this might be a good way to do it!

First person house exploration would be awesomely hilarious and intense!

I made the suggestion a while back... a 3d engine, FPS robbery + sims style editing.

If I vanish it's not due to a burglar shooting me as well as my wife while making his way to the vault....
I'm just a burst player.

Or you could just build TCD in Minecraft.

What you said will require all the code to be rewritten.

Switching over another game engine also requires code to be rewritten.

FPS-style should be forgotten 'til there is a modding team that is adapted to do it.

Amazing fan art there!

Totally possible to make a client that does this.

That would get rid of the whole "seeing through walls" problem.

Though... making it turn-based would be weird.  More like one of those pre-FPS 3d-maze exploration games where you walk NSEW and see the next image.

1 While it is possible, wouldn't it take time and resource?

2 How would it get rid of "seeing through walls" problem while anybody can easily get map-data?

3 Agreed.
