Saws for the Poor

If you were at between $50 and $1000 in the last hour or so, you may have noticed a robber walk into your house with 5 saws and then die in one of your traps. That was me.

I recently lost all my money but before starting up again, I decided I'd go around doing my part to fight poverty. So I systematically hit every house I could below $1000 with 5 saws and died.

If even a few other players start doing this whenever they have to restart we can help players down on their luck, and make building a viable starting strategy.

Re: Saws for the Poor

Depending on the house and the current attentiveness of the player, you may not have been doing them any favors by jacking the value of their house by a $2000. Nothing I love more than coming back after being afk for a whole hour to find someone died in a silly way dropping thousands of tools, followed by someone a few minutes later attracted by the new value raping my cheap starter house with thousands in tools it was most definitely not designed to withstand.

No wonder there's a bunch of $1k-$2k houses out of sudden, it make sense now...

Just remember to "give back" to the community when you "need to rebuild". smile

Re: Saws for the Poor

Yeah please don't do this anymore.  I was one of those and I was purposely trying to keep the money limit down because I was not finished and knew I was not going to be home until late.  The saws started a cascade of attempts that ended up me being robbed for over $9800, a painting and large damage to the house that couldn't be replaced without starting over.

Re: Saws for the Poor

I was a recent recipient of your generous donation. It allowed me to get on my feet and get my first house up and running with a current kill tally of 7, including you and no breeches. Thanks for the help, i really appreciate it.
