Discuss the massively-multiplayer home defense game.

Help me understand this. You are begging the admin to ban your one account or all your accounts?
Speaking of human psychology.. particularly focused on players who cheat.
To answer the question; does leveraging multiple account constitute cheating?
Yes its an unfair act used in order to gain an advantage over others. Avoiding the games intent of luck or skill.
Samuel Cody Hodges; Its amazing that you know your own name, hmmm.
Tell me Mr. Hodges, What do you suggest that Jason do with players who cheat?
Who is to say this design is mine? I borrowed it from another and someone will undoubtedly take it from me.
Thank you for sharing my name (Leslie James Holden) having but one account and have no other way of knowing it.
Note: I am the only player left who doesn't cheat and I take pleasure in the solemn pride of knowing I am the only one.
Who is playing this game in 2016?
Lets talk about the accusation being directed at you
Your previous posts contains statements like "my main account", I deduced from that evidence that you are employing multiple accounts and yes... Cheating.
This action is counter intuitive to the games mechanics and disruptive to the gaming community.
I get it, exploiting this advantage must be really enjoyable to you. It provides the illusion that you are "smarter" or possess a "higher skill" over other players.
I'm guessing cheating fulfills some deep seated void or masks some disappointment you have in life.
Or maybe you are so out of touch with reality; this is considered acceptable. If that's the case god help you.
I have to agree with Passive on this one. Assuming you have 4 accounts pumping 6k into each account so you can poke around and map out someone's house is an unfair advantage.
The reason Jason made each account with a one life limit was to make the game challenging enough for both robbers and builders. Unfortunately that is not good enough for you.
So you deliberately use multiple accounts in bad faith to thwart the aims of the game.
Basically you are abusing the process, disruptively taking advantage, or otherwise evading the spirit of community consensus. Its a shame Jason gave up on this effort to enforce the terms of agreement on this game.
So kudos to you for gaming the system that has an absentee landlord. Enjoy!
Hey Henson,
Not going after family members, hmm ok than it must have been someone else that attempted to go after mine. For some reason I feel there are only 5 maybe 6 people that play this game. My opinion the multiple account players make it seem like its a larger group.
As for teaching me a lesson, there have been a few players that got caught smashing up the middle of my home with 100's of tools and dying from a mistake or maybe they willingly died on purpose.
For those that did get to my safe; my wife's saving account helped me quickly patch things up, then move the safe from the back to about 6 spaces up (Right next to the entrance) Then watch as players brute force their way deep into the back of my home and not finding it. I sense a lot of pent up rage as they break everything along the way.
(SPOILER!) Most people just by-pass the first trap and drill up the middle totally missing the goal a few spaces away. I recovered a lot of cash that way. (SPOILER!)
If you want to see the house in all its glory: http://castledraft.com/editor/tayPZz
Thanks Passive for the name.
You brute forced your way though my house so many times while other failed. But could not get to my wife. Figured you could use the 80k of cash from my death.
Merry Christmas!
I have only one account; so I don't know my own name. Perhaps you could share it with the group.
I'm the doggy dancing trap door that has been in the top five homes for Months.
I could be paranoid, are you talking about my house? It has a row of dogs above, a commit trap door to the right of the entrance and a door below with the safe behind it. If this matches the description of the house you are talking about? Then Yes this is my house.
Its been under development for more than 3 months with the safe routinely broken into every day. Three steps and you have access to an empty safe.
What remains beyond the safe, wooden walls, concrete and pits is a secret. They have been placed there to keep the public from viewing the rest of the house until I gather enough Santa runs to finish it. Logic being that people use mapping technique and solve the puzzles as its being developed. Player with 3 or more accounts can pretty much solve any house they have records of that day.
So the house will remain under development until I feel confident its finished.
On a side note: Would you believe people actually tried brute forcing their way beyond the safe to have a peek at the rest of the house . These folks have spent large amount of tools, I'm not talking about the 2k run, I'm talking 10k worth of tools on an EMPTY house. Its crazy to see players brute force their way through a house that has no cash and the safe is right in front of you.
What can you do?
Thank you. The fake leap of faith could be easily bypassed with one brick to the door. This cycled the clock making it in-line with the users so the grid would be passable. I had some thoughts on how to toughen it up a bit but that brick really messed up the clock.
Regardless of its flaws, that one trap was so enjoyable to watch people stumble into I didn't bother to make any more. It got to the point that most players would just explore other parts of the house without attempting the fake leap of faith. Only a few (maybe two) players were able to learn its weakness. Kudos to you sir for making it.
In todays news.
The house owned by Derek Robert Thomas has been brutally broken into on Friday. Only his son Charlie managed escape the wraith of the lone robber. Ms. Darla Thomas and their daughter Tamara were not so fortunate. Funeral arrangements are set for this weekend at Dewey, Cheatem and Howe Funeral home.
Investigators have reviewed the in-home security footage and have identified one suspect "Earl Michael Case" and charged him with 2 counts of premeditated murder, burglary, 9 counts of dog slaughter and 8 counts of cat killing and vandalizing one window.
A source close to the investigations said, "that Earl's DNA evidence was splashed all over the place. Leaving no doubt that Mr. Case was responsible for this brutal massacre."
Earl Michael Case was released on bond today and wouldn't respond to media's questions. His lawyer stated that his client is innocent and that these allegations are without merit, "Earl is looking forward to clearing his name and hopes that people will not judge him in the media. This is a serious blow to Mr. Case's livelihood as a professional house sitter"
A neighbor who claims to have witnessed the crime said he saw Mr. Earl Case walking up to the house stating,
"This fool came in with a bunch of ladders, Scooby snacks, explosives and guns. Few minutes later it was like the fourth of July". He went on to say "Then Earl ran out of the house with like $77,545 dollars yelling ... I'M RICH BITCH!!"
We have excusive footage of the floor plan before the assault took place.

If you would like to help this family in this tragic event, they ask that you plant a tree in your back yard in dedication of Darla, Tamara and the dogs and the cats. Basically just plant a whole forest on your property.
Can anyone explain this to me?
I just had my house robbed blind after being up for a few weeks, but before that no one was even able to make it past my first part -- EVER(a magic dog dance). After that I will had an insane amount of complexity to my house that no one had ever reached or seen yet.
A player with no tools comes in and perfectly does the first dance that no one has ever passed, finished ANOTHER dance after(he made no mistakes on either of the dances, and literally ran it as if I were doing it), and walks through the rest of my house as if I were self testing it myself. He robs me without make any u turns or checking additional doors and switches...
After I log in to see this I'm insanely curious as to whom this may be so I go to their house and it was an empty broken into vault. This to me states that turning fog-of-war off is possible some how, and that this person robbed me on an alt, and had their main rob their alt. This is absolute bull. I've seen this a couple other times already and I'm getting too tired of coming up with designs and building up from the bottom like a normal player.
The term you are looking for is "wall vision cheat" (modifying local game files to see through walls). I shared my finding with the community in a previous post. You are not the only victim, just know that this happening to others as well.
@Williad2, Blip is a known dual account user so it's possible he could have scouted your house with his other account before coming in with Mr Coats.
Besides that, his explanation makes sense. Risking it all on the assumption that the floors were fake isn't something I would do (could easily have been a multiple choice path behind that door, Blip), but many visitors to my house are braver than me when robbing.
Also, if there is a possible route to explore, people will explore it. I recently encountered a house similar to the one you describe where a simple dog meat stopped the first dog allowing me to explore the rest of the house. However, I could see a path behind that dog. So I left and brought a dog meat and a brick, allowing me to drug the dog in a way so as not to block the path. I found the safe.
For many houses this wouldn't work, but for a small cost it was worth a look.
I'm not questioning his/her dual accounts status. I'm confident that an alternative account was used to scout my house.
Just saying my explanation makes sense.
Blip is one of the most respectable hackers in this game. He has knocked off the "best" houses many times, killing what most people think impossible houses. I'm rolling up to say I believe his word that he doesn't cheat. Dudes broken my houses plenty of times through trial and error.
I agree Blip is known for knocking off the "best" houses many times, killing what most people think impossible houses.
The video evidence I have explains why and how that is possible.
I also sense that you have strong feelings toward blip so for you to look at this objectively would be too much of a hurdle.
So I wont ask you not to be influenced by personal feelings or opinions in considering and representing facts.
This accusation didn't just pop-up out of the blue. All I can say is the video tape speaks for itself.
In a effort to see if players are using "wall vision hacks" (modifying game files to see through walls) I placed my safe in an area that hidden behind walls but wasn't outside my first screen view.
In other words I could see my safe in worker mode but its completely hidden in robber mode.
I waited for 3 days with players just poking around and leaving while others poked too far and died.
Then suddenly, Gene Richard Coats popped in and knew exactly where the safe was and brought with him exactly 1 dog treat and a wood saw to reach it.
Since this is his primary account (20+ Art pictures) My logic says to bring 4 waters so one could escape if the safe wasn't there... Nope this was a one way trip directly to the safe.
I'm not upset, my losses total $1001 dollars plus the time fixing a wall.
Just want to share with the community wall vision hacks are used and I have the video tape evidence to back up my claims.
Enjoy!

I see you stopped by and took my house warming gift (30k) and was kind enough to leave the welcome mat

Do you need me to bring anything? Judging by the entrance a few doggy treats, a ladders and a crowbar.

intimidating as hell. so much space at the entrance devoted to flare. makes me wonder what lies beyond. no alt account, tho. so I won't be finding out any time soon.

James Charles Mills wasn't scared a bit. I would have returned the favor to Mr. Mills ... however. Did you see this guys entrance... DAMN!

I will. Prepare to lose all your money.
I did a stupid thing by moving the safe closer to the entrance. One player was getting too close for comfort so I thought I would mix it up by moving the safe. Bad mistake on my part. "James Charles Mills" paid a visit and with a few tools he just waltz right to my safe.
I'm assuming that was you...Blip! Hope that 30k you got from me push's you into a higher tax bracket
TheRealCheese - So true, in this game we should all fear our neighbors.
tigerbalm immunity - I am guilty of plagiarism as well. Just saying with these newer designs its becoming difficult to copy and keep up.
Cylence - in the interest of full disclosure. Some electronics I rarely use (i.e. Panic button and Pressure Toggle switch) to this day I don't think I ever used Rotary Toggle switch I know its sad.
Killer Mosquito - Exactly these were the maps I was referring to. While trying to reverse engineer the design I would start at the safe and work backwards towards the entrance. Mumbling to myself; "You got to be kidding", "This is insane", "How can I use this in my house"
42dustman - Two words "Paradoxical circuit". Yea I have to put on the dunce cap and sit in a corner when that topic is brought up.
poor - agreed, clocks take up a lot of space and are becoming so predictable now. My tapes are full of players stutter stepping 9 times before moving on to an electric floor. Cat traps on the other hand are very interesting, trying to understand these better.
Thanks for everyone's reply. If you happen to be in the neighborhood stop on by.
You will know your at my house when you see the welcome mat with a face made up of wires.

I have become a grand master at deceiving myself without even knowing it.
For months now, my architectural designs gradually improved to the point where my houses made it to the top of the leader boards multiple times. The only way these houses were taken down was by shear brute force or my own stupidity during self tests. So impressive was the creations that lay before me, I foolishly believed that I was one of the top designers in this game.
Then I started reading this forum and happen to review ICEMAN’s designs....Whoa! My reality / pride were shredded instantly. I’m nowhere near the complexity that is contained in his maps. Ok it’s just one person. Maybe I’m the second greatest, so I continue reading….. Nope!
Other people have post their FULL designs and some of them I can’t figure out how safely navigate through them. I’m not kidding, how can a maze built with the same “known” items that I use; be configured in such a way that I am baffled even when shown the answer.
Did I accidently purchase a game that is designed for the Academically Gifted. Am I alone?
In my opinion, the game is designed for your family to die as you progress to a higher level. The wife and kids traps are used to assist in foiling attempts from lower income robbers however, once you break through and grab the attention of mid - higher income robbers your family is doomed. All you can do is accept it and hopefully she took a few of them out before her demise.
On the bright side, your house will open up and allow construction of more advanced traps. When designing a house prepare it for this transition and your house will be a formidable dwelling for any would be robber.
Again, I'm no expert and what I say should be defined as a just an opinion.
Best of luck.
I still haven't figured out your first puzzle. Be patient!
