I've chosen to start this topic to invite new and old players to share there beginner house designs. The type of of house you make after multiple rages on 2K robber runs. straight after you have earned new ideas from failing to others. The house needs to be able to be built with less then £3000 and it doesn't matter if you just designed it on castledraft.com with no earlier experience. £1800
£200 tempting moneyyou actually need 1 saw to get to the vault.
the cat is misplaced, it has to be at least 5 tiles away from the corner (brick has 4 tile range)
you can try something like thathttp://castledraft.com/editor/ssIFAO
if you reach the corner without tools you're dead, if you try to saw the wall once you see the cat, you will be fried because of the paradox circuit
Thanks! ill edit that into my design if i choose to use this version agian

made a nicer version for future more doggyssss http://castledraft.com/editor/swqxMN
It's a nice design, but I would avoid using that much wood; your design would only take $6,100 to brute-force, like this: http://castledraft.com/editor/nMEvyM. Instead, add concrete and pits in choice places to make cutting through the house that much harder.
Otherwise, I like how your entrance trap relies on subverting expectations, and the amount of tricks and dead-ends you have. I would personally recommend against having a combination lock from relatively early on in the house connect directly to the electric floors in front of the vault, though. When people see combo locks, they generally cut through them if they have the saws, and in this case, that would lead them directly to your vault.
Hey thanks for the advice could you quickly put together what you were explaining (On castle draft) to visually show me what you meant to fully understand
Now I get the electronics. Nice setup!
Hahaha Thanks
I just found the amount of tools it could take to brute force it
1 wire cutter
8 water
4 ladders
1 gun
6 saws
1 drugged meat
1 water
6 wire cutter
Yep, I've definitely died in there before!
I don't understand the purpose of the "steel kennel" in the lower right hand area. I guess it's a red-herring vault location where robbers go, thinking they'll find the vault, but get trapped instead? If so, I might add more entrances, or move the entrance to make it more accessible. (maybe it's something else that I don't understand).
With more money I would next "build back" the family area so that they hang out in the lower right corner instead of the lower left, and add some extra obstacles before they're reached, in order to make the most of those tiles and basically increase the cost of reaching the family.
I would also sprinkle some dogs around the wiring area, and thicken it with cheap wood walls so there's less room to move around.
How did most robbers die in your house?
Did you have a lot of people sawing or tunneling through the walls?
Any successes or near successes to speak of?Congrats on your successful run, sorry you died, and thanks for sharing your house map - very educational.
Most of the robber either died of charging after the family and locking them selves in with the dogs or sticking the pad to light up the electric floor then thinking the dog would walk on a pad a turn them of (believing it was leap of faith)
Your right guys im sorry this version of the house is my final version the family were all dead to players getting stuck in the left corner just forgot to delete them will make the edit straight away.
Edit- Fixed family exit
Edit - Fixed missing dog
Thanks guys its nice to have a few people who understand what i ask for (Also thanks for the advice and help fixing it)
Yeap, i think that was me i was angry after loosing my 50k house to my wiring mistake and I was just in the mood for burglary so i went about 10 houses and did what you said, and thanks for the compliment im going to use that one hahahah

Hello, i'm very new to the furom but i have owned the Castle Doctrine since update v30. Recently i made a house that earned 49,000 in game money from the bounty's and gear that burglars have left in my house, alone. The house was fifth on the neighbours board (Was very proud) dew to unfortunate events i died inside of the house (closed myself in the bottom left) and i wanted to share with you my design http://castledraft.com/editor/Pfxjql the reason i have chosen to share with you is to show new people ideas on a large scale and ask how to improve it so i can take ideas and add them to my next build ( Remember i have only been playing since V30) so Yeah thats all. If anyone has any idea's on how to inprove my home please let me know.
