You think I'll tell you? I'm trying to hide for a bit and keep my art safe! Because frankly, I didn't think I'd pull this off, and would finally get to get rid of a surprisingly rich house that has way too many psychological traps. Now I have over 50 paintings behind those traps!

of course Blip, don't let me stand in your way. post a vid whatever the outcome for all of our amusement, if you don't mind... (him beating your house, which would therefore be out anyways, or you beating his. no crowdsourcing or showing traps till one of you falls, please)

Well friends, it's been stressful, nerve-wracking, and an overall source of anxiety, but I think it's time for me to put down the game. I've done just about everything: owned a painting, robbed an X0,000 house with 2k of tools, been robbed of an X0,000 house with several thousand in tools, tricked a robber into burning several thousand in tools robbing my place only to find no safe behind all my traps, and so on. I've gained many skills, and can even make a ~$1.4k house that can't be bruteforced with 2k of tools, but I've once again died in an attempted robbery.
All I really wanted was to build something nice, and several of you got to see it before I left. I think I accomplished this, and have shared it below.
To those that didn't get to see it, this is a screenshot from my last house. This room of three choices was the centerpiece of my fortress, leaving players surrounded by 4 boats from Conway's Game of Life and a decision they were not prepared to make.
I leave this now so you may replicate this design in my memory.

Who is the King? Whoever he is, if he's not you, he must die.
I think it would be fun for everyone to watch the battle for the throne,
so come and see the best in the neighborhood fight it out to the death.
Post your videos or castledraft schematics in the wake of the page 1 carnage. Any top level fights, especially those involving the King (#1 house on the list). Only post vids/schematics if you have broken the person's house, solved it and taken his safe, or if they take you out then post your house falling.
Please don't crowdsource or post a house before victory is attained against that house.
Bandicam is a good video recorder. It's free, load it up, set some options if you want (set the hotkey on the first page to the button you want to push to start/stop recording, show mouse is a good one to turn on too). After that all you do is click "target" on page one -> click your castle doctrine game window -> push your record hotkey. Then put it on youtube and link it here. It's a pretty easy process once you do it once 
Anyone can claim the Crown by taking down the current King and remaining #1 house on the list. When fights are so frequent that the #1 spot is shifting quickly from person to person, the mayhem must settle and a clear #1 house must emerge solidly in first place to be the new King.

Jason got it restored for me. Emailed him with the download code and playback tape. (which was 20megs... heh, thats probly the problem right there hehe... left my game running for weeks on end). anyways, alls good and back to normal. the next self-test was pretty nerve-wracking tho, i could just see it: "So i got my house restored after my game crashed during a self-test and in my first self-test back in I walked onto an electric floor". made it through ok tho lol...

Fyi, changes you make don't commit until you complete the self-test. If you were building from an empty house and for some reason time out or DC, that empty house is what'll appear on the list.
when I say just finished I mean that after over a week I had finally put every last thing in there I wanted and upgraded every last wall to concrete or steel.

yeah... had just finished building my unbeatable house. self-testing -> game crashes. log back in and house is gone. guess it wasn't unbeatable. seems a wayward tornado touched down and took it out, and with no insurance either...

what... in.. the hell... happened... in my house... today.
I came back today after throwing together a quick half-house this morning trying out all the cool new stuff and there were Five pages of new surveillance videos that altogether went like this:
my house hit $2831 then someone robbed me.
my house hit $3402 then someone robbed me.
my house hit $1650 then someone robbed me.
my house hit $1500 then someone robbed me.
my house hit $3500 then someone robbed me.
my house hit $1500 then someone robbed me.
and left me finally back at $0 again... hahaha
lol. fun mod so far, like all the creative new stuff. plus the community paintings are sick, great jobs a lot of those are badass

To anyone who is confused about the point of this guys behavior:
He initially viewed the game as a challenge of wits.
He got his ass kicked.
Disappearing quietly in his own shame didn't sit well with him, so he came on the forums proclaiming the game to be broken and asserting that to be the reason he was quitting and not that he got his ass kicked in an attempt at appeasing his ironically overinflated ego.
It'll be alright son. It'll be alright.
As someone else said, multiple accounts are exploits in many MMO's. Everyone else deals with it too from time to time. Yeah it's an advantage, but it doesn't turn you into a top player for $16. If you think it's that OP then get one yourself and show us your #1 house on the board.

heh, nicely done. Would be cool to see a victory video of you doing it. Even though you said his wife is still up he'd have to redesign the whole thing anyway now that you've broken it otherwise you could easily get right back to his vault, even if he just changed a couple things. In my opinion, if you break it you bought it and can post it up if you feel like it at that point.

yeh, at least give the ability to get rid of art you dont want. You could actually USE "bad" art to keep people from robbing you. (this works against me with the Beebe paintings 100%)

Yeah that's my thinking too. actually my newest build has only one trap at the beginning designed to kill non 50k+ bruteforcers, past that the entire house is anti-bruteforce (instead of a smooth progression of skill-level targeting traps). with an end zone in three of the four corners, only one has the vault (or does it?). things like that. the entire game changes at the top.

TLDR: Middle class is expanding and as they do their value stagnates. Playing base defense is no longer a reliable strategy to reach the top; brush off your tools and get to thievin.

and the last guy who broke my house was sitting at #1 and burned 80k worth of tools (of his 200k) over the course of 8 attempts. just so you know what to look forward to.

mail using the in-game name assigned to you that you only have until you die. which is still not linked to anything else. box is talking about immersing more in his 'character' by interacting with other peoples characters. not obscene or harassment, building a dialogue with his neighbors while still being in line with everything else in the game. add chilled prohibitions to letter mailing as well...
not really sure why it would be "good" to cause people to mistake players for NPC's... you goin for a feigned AI man? thats cheating.

that's really not difficult between 3.5 and 15k. you can max your house out in 2 or 3 days staying in that range. If you're building a house with the starting 2k and expecting it to go quickly then that's your problem right there. If your house is maxed and you want more money like many people, go rob. scout houses 5-15k higher than you

that would be fun, mail a letter and it costs $1 or something in postage. would add more interaction with your neighbors. could choose to send anonymously or with a return address...
