Try layering your walls. I see that you have a big concrete wall and two dog walls.
Dog walls allow vision, so maybe try checkering them with concrete smile.

I'm gonna urge you again to make a new thread with a proper title, so that we can follow all the features and updates in ONE place.

Was away for the weekend. Back now.

Which one of you guys are coming in with guns blazin?

Also, this house is getting scarily high on money, I'm tempted to just do a redesign with the cash, just so I can burn the cash.

It's your house, you can reveal the entrance if you want (I did it with Jensen). smile

It's funny I do have a tiny trick house going, but there are no buttons...I'd love to see the one you are talking about.

I have been just casually playing the game experimenting with maps where you can see the vault and it looks like you could just walk right to it again - a sort of riff on my old fake leap of faith maps.  Of course, they have an inherent weakness in that you can see how to brute force right away.  No one has solved it, even though there is only 3 halls to go down.  It has been brute forced 3 times, 2 of them for less than the sale amount of the tools.  Here is what my current house looks like :

My jensen life will expire soon, so I'll be 2k robbing again with him, does this house have a listing above $4k? I'll come visit if so smile

You should try talking to iceman about being able to connect. Maybe he can help ya out.

Mala,
Were you able to work out any solutions?

Blip, yes you do smile. Iceman and puma have been at it for awhile using 2k runs (although puma had some beefier ones). I'd like to see if they can figure it out. If the house value is too tempting for ya, I can always burn money off (just let me know).

Puma, I actually gave you a hint that Iceman picked up on.

Iceman, I'm wondering what your different approach is.

#34 Re: Main Forum » My brief attempt to disallow tool use as much as possible » 2014-05-16 08:17:48

I'm not sure what you mean by "disallow tool use as much as possible." Maybe you just meant you wanted to be able to kill people who use tools at your place (which can be lucrative since you can kill the before they use the rest).

Looking at your place it would be easier to just come back with saws when I could afford them. The 30 saw 2 ladder test would get to your vault smile.

#36 Re: Main Forum » Mr Ward is dead » 2014-05-16 07:12:37

Every time I see a combo lock on a map, I immediately think how far would 30 saws and 2 ladders get me.

how does the power door ever lose power in the steel wall island in upper right?

kill the cat, then swing the chihuhua to close the powered door and when you walk up again, he'll be able to hit the button.

Me too.  I am hoping we should have a release on all platforms in a few months with someone working fulltime.

Cullman, maybe you should create a thread so that all your updates and announcements can go into it. For people who want to find info on what you plan on including, it's all in one place instead of scattered throughout different threads. I know you've mentioned feature you'd like to include across many different ones.

Puma,
Sorry, I totally didn't see your response here.

If the dot is a vault, you can get to all the dots in the layout provided. So technically, you can work your way backwards from all the dots smile.

Oh, and just because you said that, Cylence, I am going to visit EVERY dog I know of >:D
(Well, not counting the ones you can't see from the entrance, since I can't afford *that*!)

EDIT: Never mind, maybe later- completely forgot to use the gun I brought on the first dog!

EDIT2: Aaaaaand now I feel like even more of an idiot! Guess I'll stay at 1 hallway scouted for now....

Haven't seen you in there lately. You taking a break from visiting Geyer's? I can tell between you and Puma because the way each of you handle the dogs is different.

Also, GotABigTrap, walter-white, and MrTeaKettle,
I purchased "Ass Over Tea Kettle" in the hopes you would come visit. smile

Since I think I am taking a break for awhile I am going to share my house. I was inspired by Blips post about making an ordered combo lock and decided to take it to the extreme.
...
1. A combo lock that has so many combinations I feel it would be near impossible to crack randomly. 8 buttons and you must press 7 in the right order.
...
5. The vault is in a weird place where most people wouldn't need to dig. The dog needs to be kited to the pit. Most people would assume the dog is just there as a mistake path.

I think you can do more with the space if you chose to use a smaller combo lock. Combo locks are really effective against low budget robbers but are really weak against high budget robbers..

1) Combo locks don't have to be that big to thwart suicide scouts and random guesses. And you can just make it harder by changing the combination every now and then.

5) If I were to rob you with tools, I would do what I do against all combo locks: dig down the last button hoping its just 1 or 2 ladders away from a vault. Your vault is actually just 1 club away after sawing through. The dog can't stop someone from using a brick to look past the door.

amazing...
The whole house looks like something new, at first glance it may even looks like a noobish house: billions of minitraps, easy to cut walls, and animals scattered everywhere.

Than you realize that everything is linked with logic and how easy it could be to die in there, so many things to take into account you will never be 100% sure about what happened.

can't find any hint about vault location, no bulky circuit that let you cross 1/4 of the house with just a couple of saws, first time i see a family path running through the entire house and with multiple mini bunkers.

Really nice job Cylence, i'm gonna take my time to study this map, there's a lot to learn.

Thanks for the complement, mala. Although I'm not sure anybody thought it looked "noobish" from the entrance though. It looked more "noobish" when I had my wooden porch smile. I miss it, it was a very welcoming entrance (all wood), but Iceman's prods early in development made me restructure it to deter him though.

My house isn't that lethal. There's only a few places where there will be surprise death, it mostly kills by entrapment. Although if you brute force, there's a lot of dogs that you'll see that will make wooden doors very risky.

If you are studying for the solution, there's more than one true path. Have fun!

Which defeat? When David Michael Scott bruteforced or when Parham did?

Did you wanted to know how close you were during your expeditions? Or just wondering which path was viable so you could work the solution backward?

Did one of you guys come in with a crowbar? Guessing someone picked up a 2k vault before coming in? The bounty was $800. I'm guessing $100 start, $200 for wife kill, $500 for vault.

#50 Re: Main Forum » To the visitors of Ronald Michael Jensen [spolier alert p4] » 2014-05-12 20:41:11

Variations not included (although plentiful)

Blocks are family positions
Dots are vault locations
