yeah your new house is much more fun than the double cat bunkers.

thanks, i'm really enjoying your footage, and i won't try to stop you right now
(but i have to correct the 2k scouting flaw you've found at the entrance)

omg Mr Price... the good old time big_smile

i don't think i still have his map, wish i had saved more plans.
There were a lot of interesting house back then

Which house is  yours?  It is probably me.  I often make stupid mistakes.

i'm chang,
i apologize for the initial layout (the double cat bunker), i had no starting plan so i used a stupid bunker to get some money.

now i have a 2way house, and i think you're the one who's deep scouting the upper side.

#53 Re: Main Forum » You lot still alive? » 2015-07-23 20:30:29

someone is really onto my house, but the tries look kinda noobish, he has made a really weird mistake on the most common dog commit gate... new players here?

#54 Re: Main Forum » You lot still alive? » 2015-07-23 05:55:15

wow, i woke up and found something like 10+ tries on my house, 9 deaths, tons of tools, and 2 nice bounties 800$ & 1300&.

ty guys that helped alot smile

i'm pretty close to finish the layout, i've tried to diverge from a bunkerish style on this one, hope you enjoy it.

due to the nature of the unescapable tiles, you cannot dance safely, you have no choice but to force it from the beginning, or find a way around

so... i was doing a tour of the neighborhood and i  found something interesting...

i visited an house that looked like the usual giant combolock, there are 10 pressure toggle switches in line linked to a powered pit and the safe right beyond the pit.

you activate every switch and the pit gets powered, but if you jump on the pit you end up dead...

how is that possible? there are no hidden animals, just a bunch of sticky buttons and a door before the switches/pit line.

unless i've been so unlucky to jump just before a clock had the power cut... i can't figure it out.

any ideas?

If only you could play this game on the go, like on phone or something, I feel like it would be easier to manage!  All joking and shilling aside, one of my biggest gripes about trying to play this game with a full-time job is when your $2k-proof house with $1500 in it all the sudden gets $10k dropped in it and you have no idea. What do you guys think about optional push notifications and emails on certain events : a certain threshold of cash is dumped in or reached, a family member dies, the vault is accesses or even someone steps on a certain square in your house?

well, a sort of security system, i like it smile

especially the tile one.

we already have cameras inside the house, you can make it so that certain areas trigger notification (if desired).

i imagine it like a sort of overlay, you can paint a whole room in red and labeling it "Zone 1", changing the color will change the zone number so you can have multiple checkpoints.

Thanks mala,

Yeah, it has been a while. I'm not sure I'll dedicate enough time to develop any new house designs but it has been fun running an old proven design and dominating the neighbourhood smile.

It looks like you've made a few interesting houses since I've been gone smile. Are you thinking of starting a new house anytime soon?

i still have a 1/3 new house plan. so i may start from there, but i don't know if i will have time to manage the house.

anyway i won't let this game go, it's too addictive to me

I've been back for a few weeks, decided to rebuild my Mr Price/Mr Williams house and see how long it could last/how much money I could make. I've just completed the (very expensive) house and so far it seems to be doing pretty well.

wow josh, welcome back, haven't seen you for a long time big_smile

#63 Re: Main Forum » You lot still alive? » 2015-06-02 05:28:12

i wish i had some time to play, i really miss the hard times, the panic of someone getting close to your vault, the hunt for paintings, the pressure of self tests, the unavoidable demise of your small kingdom.

i still have my old plan, soon or later it will be time to resume it.

#64 Re: Main Forum » You lot still alive? » 2015-05-17 15:24:49

still following the forum, but i have no time to play.

definitively planning on coming back, love this game too much to give up big_smile

Hey guys, just wanted to let you know we haven't disappeared.  Been very busy with the day job.  The day job just had a product release last week, so that should allow us to get TH over the finish line.  I am targeting getting into Beta within the month, with our own dedicated server.  Assuming the beta goes well, we will invest in marketing to try to attract a big enough audience to get the game back to it's previous glory!

here you are, i was getting worried big_smile

it already happened before, if no one returns the paintings just email Jason, he knows what to do

I'm not so sure about this bit here, though. You wrote:

"Maps created by players are automatically added to the list of predefined houses, if they fulfill certain criteria.
Maps created by players can be spawned as bot maps, after a certain amount of time since their creation has passed".

This will make the more paranoid builders uncomfortable, I imagine. Should you plan to further improve your game mechanics I propose a donation button that lets people voluntarily contribute their house designs. This would let players decide when they are ready to part from their old place and move on to a fresh layout.

i agree, sometimes you can upgrade the house knowing that only 1-2 players reached a certain point, but if your house spawn as a bot, you'll have no info at all about robbers progression.

last time i've heard sirens it took me additionals 4-5 minutes to get to the vault, but the game let me take it with no consequences, no idea about the time limit, buti guess if your robbery succede police wont' get you even after sirens countdown.

#71 Re: Main Forum » Hmm any way i could get some help with a commit gate i need? » 2015-02-12 05:55:23

something like that should work

http://castledraft.com/editor/QhxVMF

i gave you two version, but the first one is the one you want to use. power should not flow directly from the power source to the voltage trigger, otherwise you can saw the wired wall to isolate the sticky button and the pit gets powered back on.

here you can see what happen in both versions if you pass the commit gate then saw the wall to get back

#72 Re: Main Forum » Hmm any way i could get some help with a commit gate i need? » 2015-02-11 22:16:45

as far as i know there is no upside down version of this commit gate, and there is no way to rotate a voltage trigger circuit keeping it the exact same size.

i hope Cullman will give us the ability to rotate voltage triggers in TH, right now we're forced to set electronics in specific directions because of this.

so im still looking oveer the davison house not understanding, what was all that wiring? definitly not the standard combo lock im used to, is that one of those memory type things that has to be turned on in a certain order? and if so wold someone care to explain it in a bit more detail?

i guess iceman and eppfel can explain the details, but yes, it's an order based combo lock.

and if my memory is good, the tutorial about ordered combo locks was written by icemen himself.

Ehh So i took another look today, many new houses, poor designs, I deduced a guys entire magic dance just from what i've found to be easy to put together. The only place i slipped up was 1 step that i should have known to be a false move (could not have possibly worked under the set up)

I enjoy a good dance but some of them are easy to crack, most if not all are as easy as 2 forward 1 back and so on and so forth, sloppy wire placement also makes it easy to identify as you can see which buttons are the kill switches. however a single wire at the very end is very secure and also reveals none of the dance mechanics. now that i'm talking i guess i might go build a 2k dance thats safe and secure.

well as i was writing this i went and built it has $200 and rather poor defenses. Easily upgradable to become quite strong though. The dance is not hard but very long. Biggest problem is the walls, and for little more than a few hundred it can be broken, thankfully unless someone wants to burst in and wreck stuff for the fun of it, there will be no gain to brute forcing the place for a very long time...

with a good setup a simple dace can be a cash cow.

#75 Re: Main Forum » Hightower mansion » 2015-02-09 20:23:27

i'm still planning.
i won't build an house because right now i have plenty of things to do (and i'm unsatisfied of my design) so i won't have the time to manage it, and i know you're hungry big_smile

but don't worry, i'll be back soon, this game is too addictive to me
