Guys you gotta love my house. I had 92 rob attempts this night, and judging by the tapes there were at least five different robbers (or someone with amnesia). One guy basically solved it at then gave up...
That was me, I think. The dog-leap-maze thing is the final part of it ain't it?

I was building this house specifically to put money into circulation and then this happens.
I didn't even think it was really possible to die in this house if you had the least bit of common sense...
It is shaped like a heart?
Why not just let us block the gas exits of the machines by throwing the cardboard boxes on top of them?
Things sure got agitated while I was out.

I think I got serious attempts from practically every other player in the server... Damn, this is way better than vanilla. ![]()
By the way, who's Mr. White?
Thanks gyuri. That was my first crowbar ever ![]()

I hope you see the week point of your setup in your tapes.
Yeah, I saw what you did there. Didn't know that gas machines could be shot, thanks for showing me that. And if you had used that solution just a while ago you would have gotten the painting.
Someone just had one of their Bright Ideas, to (I'm guessing) buy the rest of the puzzle paintings and reset their auction value.
hahaha... Comb locks, aways universally hated.
EDIT: Also, in the name of Order and Progress, what do you guys think of adding each character's bounty to the web-based neighborhood view? Could be pretty interesting, although it would have to let you find out your own as well.
Sounds pretty good!
And now that you have mentioned that, I have a idea for an small easter egg: When you have Ordem e Progresso your chihuahuas get renamed to chihuehues.
Nice to see someone has one of my paintings in his vault. Not so nice to see it's behind a 12 bit lock.
Well... My house is "not a puzzle" ![]()

The first documented case of communication inside Castle Doctrine! I shall make a special painting to commemorate this milestone! ![]()
I think the advantages of dual accounts are being severely underestimated here, you can get 10k quick and easy anytime you want by using your secondary to club vulnerable family members in the poor houses and then suiciding in your main house and the chills can be easily bypassed by 'stashing' the bounty in a easy picking poor house. Not to mention how you can also use a secondary to do risk and cost free scouts on any of the bigger houses you want to rob or lock the dogs in your main house in whatever convenient positions you want them to be.
StefanLindskog wrote:I would understand it if I had, say 2400. I don't. This kind of griefing will only make me stop playing FT. We are a very small player base as it is, so please stop it.
That's exactly what they want. People complaining, quitting, being angry, etc. That's why they are called grievers. And what they are doing is obviously working. So why should they stop now.
They will only stop when they no longer get what they want.
Or if we make them stop. Jason apparently wasn't interested in doing so. But this is another chance.I propose limiting robberies to houses with paintings or a value higher than the combined sell value of the tools you are carrying. They could be filtered ot of the list or show a message similar to the chills "This house dosn't seem to be worth the effort".
Probably not enough but at least a good start.
But then the small houses would stagnate. I have tried to mitigate this whole thing by making houses where only the wife is protected to see if some people would exploit the short chills by suiciding with 5 saws in it and coming back 5 minutes later to gather the money and try build sustainable houses, some robbers actually had some funny interactions with it, but overall it seems like pretty much everyone is just burning money trying to raid the dog house or something.
In my opinion the best solution for this situation would be to make house objects even cheaper, 1/4 of the original price would be ideal.
And I also think that a thing that could stop any possible griefers would be to make suicide inside your own home impossible, even by self testing.
The SDL.dll is appearing after i am trying to launch the game. After i downloaded the dll and placed it into the game dir some other error appeared: SDL_EnableKeyRepeat
Any solution?
I copied the one from the vanilla game into the mod folder and it worked fine.
I actually had plenty of moments like this with a particular house of mine:
I made a doggy door like this so it wouldn't open before the burglar had took the way to the magic dance;
http://castledraft.com/editor/O8SUhH
A total of around 30 burglars or so have died from stepping into the switch, taking a step back to see what was behind the door and then trying to go through the way of the magic dance again.

I think you are all the same person with alt accounts holding a conversation with yourself.
This game is pretty neat huh?
Shut up alter ego 59!
Thanks for your support mate, despite what these kids think and their "evidence" this house was built entirely legit.

Has anyone noticed I hand-picked that name yet?
I did. It's going to change from time to time ain't it?
To rob him you would need to brute force him to some extent, you will not be able to beat him with 2k of tools any time soon. too many combo locks, and its too easy for him to change them
Or are you talking about commiting seppuku with an established house/character?
Nah, just thought there would be more weak spots like the first dog behind the window. I don't have a non 2k life in quite a while now.
I'm not saying that either of the two (dual accounts, cooperative forum robbing) are ok. they are both stupid and ruin the game for other people. In regards to "protecting himself" by keeping his value low, there is nothing stopping you from robbing him. If you want the paintings which have a LOW estimate of 600k value, then you rob him. If you are worried about not getting a cash return, then rob someone else. It doesn't impact you at all what he does in regards to his own wealth.
I don't want the paintings, I want the paintings to go around free. If I were the one to rob him, I would just come back to his house, take one step forward and suicide. ![]()
I once lost a 50k home self testing...
hes coming in with his main right now...Change something
Nah, that was a 'Fortress Theory' house. He did it for fun, not for exploiting. ![]()
Additionally, this house is already gone. ![]()
shlam16 wrote:Lord0fHam wrote:If you're gonna do that, show me that map first, I helped you with that spreadsheet after all, and i want those paintings!
Think you could hold onto them safely? I don't want them to go to one of these other noobs, even through you. If you're confident with your house I might. I still haven't made up my mind.
Maybe. nobody has ever gotten past the first part, but then again, i've never had any real tries. I'm trying to come up with something to replace a combo lock to make it less easily brute forced. Maybe some sort of cat puzzle that closes doors and opens pits if you do it wrong, but is needed to solve the house normally? feel free to email me any ideas you have so that these jerks don't get them. Also 42dustman, stop being a dick. not only did you reveal his house but you are also asking for MORE??? just play the game like a normal person. I've spent 25k scouting holmes and now i know almost exactly where his vault is. It feels much better to solve a house than get someone else to do it for you. not only that, but you've ruined the game for shlam16. I can't believe that his house stood up to multiple 60k attempts and he is also a very skilled robber. I don't think you would like it very much if he did the same to you.
Also shlam16 if you don't want others getting the paintings, feel free to commit honorable sudoku in my house and i'll use your bounty to buy the ones i like, while screwing the others because they cant buy them all.
Let me see if got this straight...
If I reveal a part of the house that can be easily scouted with 2k I'm being a dick and am ruining the game, but if Shlam uses dual accounts to hoard half the paintings in the game behind a 'final stage' house that no rich player is going to rob because the value is kept aways low (a strategy he opened this very topic to criticize in other players), then that's totally cool?
The sad demise of Owen Thomas Calvert http://youtu.be/_AgGzSCjDBM enjoy....
Thank you sir Thank you very much.
Now that's a big ol' bounty.

Come map it yourself, noob.
Would, but ain't got a second account to work around chills and all that... ![]()
Could someone share more of that map, please?
