Why not post the source? I'm sure there'll be at least one Linux user capable of compiling it.

I'm a bit hesitant to post the source publicly, since people will be able to cheat then. Right now there isn't any anti-cheat setup on the server, and I'd like to keep it that way (since it's a free server, I'm not sure how much I can get away with).  I also don't really to have someone else compile a new version every time.

I think I have a way to compile it myself on Linux, though.  I'll hopefully be testing it sometime this week or next.

Re: Fortress Theory Mod - Version 3

I'm having trouble registering, each time I submit I get this PHP error message:

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_STRING, expecting ',' or ';' in /home/a2912251/public_html/ticketServer/server.php on line 562

Yeah, I messed it up when I fixed the link (it was going to v1).  Should be fixed now.

Re: Fortress Theory Mod - Version 3

Thanks! It is still slightly buggy - there was just a blank space after "Your email is:".

Edit: Hmm, looks like it hasn't registered properly - it won't log in.
Also, why isn't SDL.dll packed with the zip? I had to copy it over from TCD.

Nice to see someone has one of my paintings in his vault. Not so nice to see it's behind a 12 bit lock.

I was just able to make an account, so it's working.  It sounds like you mixed up the Email and name boxes - I did that several times today, and if you don't enter something with @xxxx at the end of the email, you just get registered with a blank email.

Gah, I was sure I did that this time.  I'll upload a new version with the SDL actually in the folder when I have a chance.

I was about to buy your set of paintings sad

For some reason, I decided it would be a good idea to work on an online neighborhood viewer instead of doing schoolwork, so I've thrown one together for you guys.  The links here and on the main post, just below the download links.  Now there's an easy way to find your name, and satisfy every compulsive behaviour you have wink  It even shows houses that are being robbed, edited, or are protected by the 5 min rule (like I've said before... feature, not a bug tongue)

Re: Fortress Theory Mod - Version 3

Someone just had one of their Bright Ideas, to (I'm guessing) buy the rest of the puzzle paintings and reset their auction value.

EDIT: Also, in the name of Order and Progress, what do you guys think of adding each character's bounty to the web-based neighborhood view?  Could be pretty interesting, although it would have to let you find out your own as well.

Sounds pretty good!

And now that you have mentioned that, I have a idea for an small easter egg: When you have Ordem e Progresso your chihuahuas get renamed to chihuehues.

Re: Fortress Theory Mod - Version 3

Who just kept on taking crowbars to Mr. Cook's house?  You just scared me enough to trap myself in my house sad And I had just bought "Bright Ideas", too...

You're Mr. Cook? Where the hell is your vault? And how does that house work?

Whenever I see a powered door, I bring a crowbar or two.

Yeah, I saw what you did there. Didn't know that gas machines could be shot, thanks for showing me that. And if you had used that solution just a while ago you would have gotten the painting.

Yeah I tried too many stupid things before, the idea to kill your CADs that way came to me too late, although it's quite obvious.

Hidden behind some magic wink  The core of that house seems to have confused robbers quite a bit more than I thought it would - I still don't quite want to release the map until some lucky robber discovers the secret, and imagine the sequences of looks that crossed their face.

Did you make another impossible house again, iceman?

Re: Fortress Theory Mod - Version 3

Nope, only Ichabod is allowed to do that.  This is magic that everyone can use!  All you have to do... is believe!!!

EDIT: Lol, I just had a hilarious bug where whatever painting you bought turned into Gyuri's "Ceci n'est pas un puzzle 1" after you left the auction screen tongue

So I came online after a couple of hours and found tons of free money. I collected it to finally take out Tapia, but then of course i forgot to bring the most important tool. Stupid. At least there's some money in his house now.
