Wouldn't this be a lot nicer to use? The tiny list pages really are seriously a bit of a pain to deal with, for me at least, maybe people like it. Adding [many] extra lines is mostly trivial.
Edit: Even more bigger. Nobody? Bad idea?

I think there's probably some reason for the copious black space around everything, although this would be nice.

The only thing I can think of is it got chopped down to prevent the server from needing to send as much, at least per request.
But in reality this is basically the same if you add up hitting the scroll twice as often. And it's done with half as many requests anyway.
I was a bit surprised to find the support is already there for doing it anyway, didn't take any actual tricks to get it to expand.

Im in favour of this. Even if its just because im happy to see myself on that first screenshot

Was this a photo-shopped screenshot, or did you actually get the list bigger? If so, can you post the modified source? I'm too lazy to actually muck around with the code, but really, really like this idea.

I can probably post the changes somewhere, that's the state my client is actually in now.
I kinda want to hear from Jason though, just to be sure this isn't going to cause problems on his end.

It's 1991. You should be hunched over your keyboard squinting at a tiny, low resolution screen!

If you want to quickly find a house worth a certain amount you can type a common name, like John or Will, into the filter section and much more quickly find a house around the value you are looking for.

Whoa... are you really getting that high a commitment ratio?

From new blood $2k players, yes. It's not photoshop, I just grabbed what I had.

I understand if you don't want to post it, but what kind if "invitation" do you have at the door to have such a high commitment ratio?
only 1 in the 4 that come and visit me get into the trap area.

I'm getting at least an 80% commitment rate. Do you, by chance, start your entry way with doors or dogs? Both are going to scare away robbers.
Could always just be a cash thing too. You'll get lots of starter tool robbers with higher house value because they're not going to waste their $2k on a low value house.

Hmm that makes sense! i'm still sub $500 having recently started again.
I'm using a cheaper variation of your trap

Yea, I would say most people robbing at that level are robbing while also being committed to their own home. That means they're all extremely risk averse. They're probably just looking for low hanging fruit (e.g. nothing but wood and doors, the classic sign of a noob house).
TBH, it's hard to work your way up out of that. You'll have to have patience and maybe do some robbing of your own. But it definitely can be done.

I was going to post source for this, but I haven't had a chance to look at v32 yet and I think I have some merge work on this.
I know some things got changed about how the rob list works now with "value" matching, and it's likely in the same files I'm working in.

Same code is used for the tape list and the house list.
The house list page has a bunch of other other buttons around, and actually the screen on that page is pretty full (there are also some admin buttons on that screen that are hidden to everyone but me).
Granted, this makes the tape screen pretty sparse with a lot of black space.
But no other screen really has tons of black space. The house editing screen is filled to the brim.
If you're on a widescreen monitor, the game is actually shown in "letterbox" mode with black on the left and right sides, but only in fullscreen mode.

To address the comment about the high commit ratios, unbelievably I get it from this entry setup.
I think you can pretty much guess how it goes.

Yeah, I see them and don't even bother with scouting, (1 step replays for you ).
Given that's what you use, then it seem the primary factor for higher commitment ratios is house value.
I.e. a $2000 new start looter would look for $2001 plus value homes.
Thanks for the reply!

Oh, so YOU'RE the owner of the house!!! I've entered it so many times, realized I was one saw short of getting to the magic dance area so many times, wasted all of my tools anyways, then explored the house still (I'm the guy with 2 saws, 2 bricks, 3 meat, 2 water, and 1 wire cutter)
