Re: The Builder Challenge #1 - $1000 House!

This is my house, http://castledraft.com/editor/CWXPNP Usuly I would spend an extra 3-400 on it for more walls and a third magic dance plate but this is quite effective.
Hope you like it big_smile

Re: The Builder Challenge #1 - $1000 House!

My second house for the contest. It's a bit weird, I think:

EDIT: Corrected to adjust for Castledraft prices - http://castledraft.com/editor/L47F0N

It is so difficult to edit this trap to fit the budget.  I just noticed the price discrepancies as well.  Hopefully this one works now that I put the window back.

I've corrected the price of cats and doors on castledraft. Holler if there's any others.

ukuko, if you place a shotgun and then remove it, the price total won't go down until you reload the page.

Re: The Builder Challenge #1 - $1000 House!

I have been seeing slight modifications of these houses on the list lately. Makes me itch to rob them, but they're not worth enough for the chance of slight changes messing it up yet.

hmmm, come to think of it, i did just see a house using my technique of blocking the wife with a kid. I know this isn't a new concept, but most people don't know it and especially not starter houses. maybe we're in for some easy money.

Re: The Builder Challenge #1 - $1000 House!

There's a house (only 280 at the moment) that is basically a reinforced version of your house. I'm just waiting untill there's enough money in there for it to be worth it. There's also a 1300ish house that I swear is HardKor's house (perhaps it is HardKor?)
Edit: As for the wifeblocking, that has been going on forever and also in new houses, but the one I am talking about also uses the exact layout of your design.

My design? I'm flattered! I didn't think it was THAT good.

This design, Mr Ham. There is a house at the moment using this as the base, but it is slightly modified and heavily reinforced by now.

That is most definitely me.  I've been playing with that lately as my $2000 starter house.  Once I get money though I always add my traps behind it which only 1 person has cracked so far.  (Usually because I get myself killed before it's worth the risk)

I just robbed 2 paintings from someone using a slightly upgraded version of this design. How they managed to get them is beyond me, but they were the easiest I've ever stolen. Was it you?

I doubt it.  The only painting I've ever had is, well since I cannot find a list of paintings I'm going to attempt to describe it in two words:  USA Gorilla  (Walked into the new owner's house: Stars & Stripes)
