I have completed a puzzle house in FT. There is not a single commitment point, there is not a single dog or CAD, there is no clock, there are no electric floors, there are no walls and vision is unimpeded for the entirety of the map.
Just throwing out the challenge to come have a play around. As I said, there is no commitment, you can come have a look around and leave for free. After that, it is wholly your own fault if you die, but there is ALWAYS a safe path back to the door. I'd love to see someone solve it, or have a giggle at failed attempts. This house is mainly a concept map for my favourite new addition in FT.
For some extra incentive, I bought about 20 paintings from auction, they were only $21 each, but there are some quite awesome ones.
Couple of disclaimers:
#1 - If you try to brute force, you WILL commit yourself, it is rigged to defend against that. Might as well save your money.
Edit: Never knew you could shoot gas tanks. Guess brute forcing is an option, but it will be VERY expensive.
#2 - The cash to build this house was farmed from my brothers account, no innocent homes were harmed in the gathering of funds. I think this is an important one considering how accusatory people got on my fully legitimate CD house. Considering how few and far between bounties are in FT and how often low level houses are griefed, this was the only way to put the house together.

can we talk about the mechanics of gas? It looks ot me like you have built a giant gas maze where there are many deadly paths and only one safe path. how is it rigged to prevent brute force?
A wiki page describing the various mechanics of the new tiles and tools would probably help FT a bit...
here's all I know so far
* Electric mice run around somewhat like cats.
* Gas machine kills u but you can shoot it with gun
* CAD is a lot like a dog when powered, however you cannot shoot it, but you can torch it with the blowtorch I think (but only 1 tile away)
That is about all I know - yeah I don't know much.

The powered floors as you step into the maze, if you try to short the electricity or cut the wires, these pits will lose power which traps you in the maze.
When I created this maze I never knew the gas canisters could be shot with a gun, but oh well, it will take about 40k worth of guns to brute force it, and that is ONLY if you guess the vaults location. Otherwise it will cost more.

That was me in my many scouting attempts I have the house mapped out, so you have 30 minutes to rob him =P
Whether I get the money or not, that was a very enjoyable house to rob!

Well, I died to a misstep, and with most of the correct route mapped out as well. It looks like you've got this one in the bag, iceman.

Nope, just made a misstep as well XD Got into the zone, walking through without even looking at the game, decided I should update my position on the map, got out of the zone, *BAM* I'm dead.
Your move, Blip

I have to go now, so I won't get another chance until a couple hours from now. Good luck to all of you.

how was it so easy? What am I missing?

Damn, had to fix a TCD house and thought chills are 60min. Would you mind building another puzzle with your newly gained fortune? ;-)
Unfortunately, I've already spent it on my new house. I will introduce a fun*, community based puzzle house** that I think you'll all enjoy solving in v3, sponsored by an old favorite*** of everyone's****
how was it so easy? What am I missing?
If you poked your head in there, you might have seen that several barrels started off. This is because poison gas can't turn on the turn you see it- the best way I could think of to prevent someone from putting poison gas right beside a closed door. I've mentioned it in this thread several times, so I hope you don't feel like it was "inside knowledge" from making the mod- especially since Blip used that knowledge to map out the house as well. Anyways, solving the house was a case of careful mapping and very, very careful walking.
*For suitable definitions of fun
**Not the "non-deadly" definition of a puzzle house
***For suitable definitions of favorite
****Everyone not necessarily including everyone.

Ah, fine print. Making all statements true* since 1958!
*True is a relative term which may in some cases mean "false"

Here is the house map for anyone that missed it.

Here's the map I was using- it might be a bit easier to see at a glance than the actual map.
