Re: Fortress Theory Mod - Version 3

42Dustman - are you using the prebuilt Windows version? Also, going off of what DaVinci said, do you happen to remember if you had a certain family member each time?

DaVinci - Yeah, it also gives the same error if you submit a house that cost more than you have.  I just don't get why it's giving it for A) 42 submitting a map after a certain amount of time, and B) Ichabod trying to take tools out of his house.  I'm going to try to dig a little deeper to try to figure out exactly what conditions that cause that error to occur.

EDIT: I just got your email, 42, and I'll see if your design is causing- oh.  I know what the problem is.
The server checks the family's exit path to make sure it only crosses mobiles, and I forgot to register the new panic button as a mobile on the server.  I fixed that, so it should work now.  I wouldn't be surprised if it's something similar for Ichabod's problem- I took "Darkness" out of the shop, so nobody else could buy it, but I bet the server's getting angry that his house has a tile it doesn't know exists.

Really?  They're on completely different sites, so that's really weird.  Can you go to sourceforge normally?

For both of you- what error is the registration page giving?  If it still isn't working, just send me an email at iceman76tv@gmail.com, and I'll make an account for you and send you the login info.

Re: Fortress Theory Mod - Version 3

I appreciate the efforts of whoever's trying to brute force Lowery's house- the security tapes are quite entertaining! I'll let you in on a secret when you finally reach my treasure chest wink

Also, you gave me this awesome screenshot:

I killed Michael Phelps!

I love the guy(s?) experimenting with EMPs and cardboxes to get past poison gas. I have some very nice tapes, my favourite being this one:

That was me..    I decided to replace all the electric floors with tons of trap doors.      I was doing some testing and forgot that the trap door down in the corner had no power.  I was running down them carelessly and saw myself fall into the corner tile that was not powered!

A few tried to brute force but failed. One guy should have had it but he  made a big  mistake   pouring water on a power supply.

Re: Fortress Theory Mod - Version 3

Oh come on, curiosity sucks. Have fun with my bounty, Mr. Lowery. What was it, about 20K? I'm gonna post my house I think, because I enjoyed watching the tapes but nobody made any real progress so I guess it was just too hard... Can I make a mapshot from a recorded game?

You should be able to- just play back the game, and when you're in edit mode press escape to stop the playback, then + to take a mapshot.

Time to watch the replay!
EDIT: Haha, you seem to have been lured in by the button of DOOM!!! You had a 25.5k bounty- pretty nice, if I do say so myself.  People are making quite a bit of progress, so I want to wait a bit before revealing the secret that makes all of these tapes so funny!  Also, I hope whoever robs Lowery shares any secrets they might have noticed near the end...

Re: Fortress Theory Mod - Version 3

Congrats, 42Dustman!  You have figured out through trial and error what I had trouble figuring out looking at the map!

StefanLindskog wrote:

Yep- it's one of the easter eggs that daVinci mentioned.  42dustman gave me the idea of having easter eggs a while back, and I figured I'd throw some in!  If you want to see the treasure chest, it's in 42's house now (Martin, I believe his name is). (Or you could look into the vaults folder)
