New to the game

Just watched a review of the game on Youtube, and instantly bought it. However starting to think i might have been a little bit hasty, doesn't really seem like it gets played anymore sad And i really liked the idea of it, wish i had found it earlier.

Re: New to the game

there's still peoples playing, not many, but you can still enjoy the game.

It's a great game, and definitively one of the most challenging i've ever played.

Re: New to the game

The players still here are quite active.  Also, there is a remixed version of the game in the making, which will hopefully bring in a lot of new players!  Don't give up and feel free to ask questions.

Re: New to the game

Mate, I only learnt like 3 days ago how to play properly.

Ok, try this. Open up castledraft.com in a window. As you go through a house, print screen every time you see something new.
Then on castledraft, use the print screens to make a map of the house, and you can work out how it works etc. Use 2k for tools to break into places to see more of the map.

Eventually you'll land a big fish.

nothing wrong about that, at first it took me 2 week to make an house that survived the 72h mark.

It's a difficult yet brilliant game, but you have to be patient and learn it the hard way

Re: New to the game

Gone the other way and made a 2k defense house last night hoping for some loot when I woke up. Had a few tapes when I got up this morning and had earnt 300$ however my wife had been shot in the head, so a mixed bag of news. Gonna try robbing when I get in as I havemt got a great deal too lose if I die.

Re: New to the game

Just checked back in, and i had got back up to 800$ at one point. This was then unfortunately stolen, i have a feeling it might have been the same person as they did exactly the same moves with 1 difference in the order they turned the switches on. Hence not dieing the second time.

Gonna try a few robberies whilst i have nothing to lose.

Re: New to the game

Oh, were you the guy with the two switches that had to be turned off to be able to access the vault? That may have been me. Nice house! Died in it 3 times I think.

Re: New to the game

Yea that was mine. It was my first house that has actually killed anyone big_smile I have died since then so have a different house now. Gone for a different style of defence, fingers crossed i get lucky, so far only one person has looked in and they only took 3 steps big_smile

Edit: Just been scouted by the top valued house :S Michael W Blanchard is coming for me big_smile

Re: New to the game

Had many restarts since the last post. Have actually successfully robbed a few more people. biggest haul of $1455, but unfortunately i had spent all $2000 on tolls before going in, only to get through without using anything. Gonna set up a house for the night and hope i catch some people out big_smile

Re: New to the game

This game takes a while to get used to for average minds like myself but once you actually get into how the game works its amazing its a shame not more people put enough time in to figure out how to be successful.
