Steam Question

I bought the game before it was available on Steam, and when it was released, received my Steam Key. Unfortunately, I was in the process of moving and Internet wasn't really an option. I've tried Googling how to use the Steam key that was e-mailed to me, but I'm having no luck finding any answers. How do I use my Steam key to play through Steam?

I don't have access to Steam right now, but if I remember correctly there should be a "Games" menu at the very top of Steam.  Click on that, then "redeem a code" or something like that.  Enter your code and you should be set
